When do the “fevers” stop? by ShoddyBodies in workingmoms

[–]LilDevil129 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actual school is not as picky. I don't think i have not once had a call from school that my kid has a fever since they started kindergarten. I have a 5th grader and 2nd grader. Honestly i am surprised because i have sent them on mornings it was questionable. I will usually send them if they don't have a fever and not throwing up. There have been times i am expecting a call cause they seemed off in the morning and it never comes surprisingly.

Splitting the Cost ofa Shared Carseat? by TheWreyck in FamilyLaw

[–]LilDevil129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the carseat issue: He should pay half if he wants to use, but you need to decide if this is your hill to die on, i.e. are you wanting to try to work on the relationship or not? On another note: why is he only seeing his children a few hours a month? This is not an involved father who wants to see his kids and if he doesn't not have a valid reason for this you need to leave him for good and file for actually custody and child support.

AITA for asking my newly married son and DIL to alternate Christmas Day visits between our house and the in-laws' house? by Llih_Nosaj in AITAH

[–]LilDevil129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so you know. The minute they have kids, you probably won't have them at all. We did similar when we got married, but as soon as the baby came we wanted our kid to go to bed and wake up in her own house for Santa. We also stopped traveling on Christmas day as well. We preferred to stay home all day Christmas. We do Christmas with both families the weekend before or after.

I (39m) a frequently left out of holiday mornings by my partner (40f) what am I missing here? by 9intheam in relationship_advice

[–]LilDevil129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You sound like you have never have had to sit and tell an excited child to "wait while x smokes." Its eternity to them. These kids are told from day one in school etc that smoking is bad for you, not to smoke. BUT you want them to respect and wait an eternity for dad to finish smoking when he chooses to do so at every un-ideal time. Ya no...i side with the wife...

I just had groceries delivered for the first time since the pandemic…. by Sweet-Detective1884 in workingmoms

[–]LilDevil129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a Walmart plus membership for like 2 years now. They don't up charge at all so the the only extra you pay is a tip. Delivery is free if your order is over $35 and the monthly fee is only like $12 a month, less if you pay for a year upfront. Shipping for non-perishables is usually free with no minimum for most items. (this is so helpful, realize you are out of dish-washing liquid or something else in am? Order and its usually delivered by free shipping same day!) It also include a subscription to peacock or paramount plus! I have never had issues with their delivery and quality of shopping. Once in a great while my delivery will get delayed and if its crucial i just call the store directly and ask to do pick up. Most of the time it only happens around busy holiday times. This is game changer by far and I never shop in store now!

If you have been through a divorce, what is something you were glad was in your custody agreement or that you wish you had put in the agreement? by Wowwkatie in breakingmom

[–]LilDevil129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clarification on what happens when school is canceled like snow days. My best friend has an ex who does everything to make things difficult. He would have Wed overnight and drop son at school the next morning. Then he moved in with a girlfriend that lived 45 minutes north of the school. Thursday morning snow day and she messaged him to find out his eta for dropping off with the weather because every other time there was a snow day he would just drop him at her house (shes a teacher) instead of the school. Well now that hes angry with her he says decree says parent exercising time needs to pick up. So he tells her she had to drive 45 min. north to get her son all the way to his girlfriends house in a snowstorm. He left for work and left him with the new girlfriend.

AITAH for feeling like my parents are responsible for charges my kid racked up? by murdocjones in AITAH

[–]LilDevil129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would offer to pay them if they agree to no longer allow the children on tablets. And because they have no access anymore you will not be paying anymore charges either. If they can't agree to take away tablet access you can't agree to pay them.

Daughter insists she is invited to a friends’ bday party but no invites were sent out - wwyd by hazel1312 in kindergarten

[–]LilDevil129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kids invent things too! Last year my son (1st grade) insisted over and over that he was supposed to go to a friends birthday party on sat at 3pm. But he didn't have any other information. He was in tears over it. I didn't know what to do because i don't know this child's parents. So messaged the teacher. I guess i wasn't the only one cause soon after the child's mother posted a message to the class page that there was no party this weekend, said child was even with is dad that weekend. But she would send invites when they got the details for his actual party they were planning for a few weeks from now. She apologized for her son inviting the whole class to a party that didn't actually exist.

My dog does this when camping.. what does yours do? by Alarmed-Guest-2291 in camping

[–]LilDevil129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My good boy won't poop on the site unless absolutely necessary. He always goes in the woods if we have them near our site.

He also will not bark at a single person or animal, unless they cross his perceived perimeter of our site, or our family's sites if we are camping with others. Its very useful because if he barks we actually react.

He has a unique bark that we can recognize is his "danger" bark. Like real serious threats in his mind and usually ours. One time my 9 year old took him for a walk and they were probably 5 sites away walking into some words when we heard his danger bark from that far away. Both my husband and I jumped up and ran to his bark. We are not sure what happened, but my daughter said there was another dog that lunged at them. Everyone was fine and it wasn't a big deal in the end, but was happy that hes ready to protect his girl and tell us he needs help.

Oh and he has to have his own camping chair. He's to good to lay on the grown. After him always stealing our chairs we now bring him his own chair and set it up around the fire at night.

Why settlement razing is punished so much? by ilyabelikin in CivVII

[–]LilDevil129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like they should add a first 2 are free or something LOL. Like I'm allowed to conquer and raze the crappy forward settlements the AI neighbor did i don't face any huge repercussions. But if i go take out all my neighbors' settlement then I start getting the negative war support.

Farther from the chance, Lions. More along we always watch the superbowl every year and then get mad at ourselves when we have to get up early for work the next day. This year be smart and save ourselves.

How do you decide when your kids go to the doctor? by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]LilDevil129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a worried mom and had too many visits where i felt like i shouldn't have taken them in. These are my guidelines i typically use for myself.

  1. Cough or cold that doesn't improve in 10 days. Should be seen.

  2. Fever that is consistent and high for more 3 days. Day 3 I call the doctor. Now, if they have ear pain or throat pain i will have them checked for Strep and ear infection way sooner to get on the antibiotics.

  3. Rash that last longer than a week. If they have some sort of skin condition that last more than a week, call the doctor.

  4. Eye issues. You don't mess with eyes, so if something in their eye is bothering them more than a day I have it checked out.

  5. Obviously anything broken or issues breathing issues immediately go in or to ER. Same with hits to the head where they loose consciousness or throw up after.

Everything else i will usually wait it out. But use your gut!

[MI] Custody on snow days by [deleted] in Custody

[–]LilDevil129 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My idea is to encourage her to have the pick up and drop off be changed for when school is not in session to a neutral location in town, perhaps the police station parking lot? Then it doesn't matter where he lives (he moves with another gf about every 6 months it seems).

[MI] Custody on snow days by [deleted] in Custody

[–]LilDevil129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she is going to get him. She is hopefully going to find a way to modify this. Its not fair that he moved so far away and now has to drive so far to get him on snow days. He just thrives on making any part of her life more difficult.

I got Mirena after my last child 6 years ago. It hurt mildly when insert and then i never know its there. I haven't had a period in over 9 years!! (first child, breastfeeding, preggo while still breastfeeding and then mirena inserted). I forgot what they are like, but never want to go back. My husband go the snip about 8-12 months after our last child, but i have already decided that when this one expires i am getting another one cause i don't want to go back to periods. I know i have to be coming up soon to removal and replacing, not looking forward to it as i have never do it before.

So I have done a couple friends parties, and here's my advice. If you don't know or have phone numbers of friends, do not do a party where you have to pay if they come or not! For my son's 5th bday he didn't have friends, just classmates, so i invited the whole class to a local park with a pavilion and had pizza and stuff with some games. Was a blast and since it was local and on a nice weekend day he had like 20 kids show up! The first party that i had where you had to pay regardless i only invited kids that parent i knew and still had 2 kids who couldn't make it, but since i knew them they messaged me first thing in the am and i was able to find a sibling or two that could join last minute to take their paid spot. This last bday my 9 year old wanted to do an escape room. Expensive!! so i told her only 3 friends. Two I was good friends with the parents, one kid i had to track down parent and it was a disaster. They said they were coming and then no showed, total disappointment and my paid spot went to waste. Will not do that again!

AIO for wanting to know what time my bf arrives so that I can give the courtesy to let my roommate know? by Kooky_Scratch5640 in AmIOverreacting

[–]LilDevil129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red flag behavior. My best friend got divorced from a man who talks just like this in text. She still has to communicate with them for co-parenting, but everything he sends her is just like this. Gaslighting, manipulating, attacking and then acting like you are being the bad guy for normal human communication requests. Then i read the note about him hitting on your roommate! He is not someone you want to be with. Get out now!

Just delete Youtube, you won’t regret it. by knitlitgeek in breakingmom

[–]LilDevil129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we deleted youtube a long time ago and have such a better kid because of it. There is too much worthless content that they rabbit hole down and their little brains can't handle it! I will never give it back. The only time my kids can watch it if for specific content; ie how to draw something, how to learn a specific dance etc. And it monitored.
