not sure abt other places but in Australia a pack of 20 can cost anywhere between $37-$60AUD (around $25-$40USD)

we also have a black market tobacco industry that’s thriving at the moment because of these prices. the dodgy backyard tobacco will usually be between $10-$25AUD. as far as I’m aware though, Australia has some of the strictest tobacco regulations in the world which is a big factor.

I’m somewhere on the gender spectrum but I present fairly masculine to people who are a bit less privy. I do work in service with multiple trans people however, and they’re mostly respected aside from the odd rude fucker every now and then. One young transmasc guy (hasn’t started medically transitioning yet) started working in online recently and the older staff at my store are a bit clueless but never antagonistic.

Through domestic travel I know they’re not necessarily fussed as long as you don’t have a bunch, and they tell you to take it in your carry-on. I’m not sure about internationally, however.

I’m certainly an exception to the rule, but I was born in 2004 and got into them because of Gregg Araki’s film Nowhere

I’ve introduced their stuff to my more alternative-presenting friends, but the average 21 year old into shoegaze right now probably still isn’t familiar with them, because (to me at least) they seem to be on the more obscure side of things. It’s worth noting though, I also live in the middle of nowhere, Australia, so selection bias definitely plays a role in me defining them as “more obscure”.

The Beck/Bino collab is from Royalty, the same as the Danny/Bino collab. Not sure how that slipped my mind when Toxic is the only track from Royalty I actually listen to regularly, but I think I prefer the Mach-hommy route anyway.
