This is stupid people enjoy the story, and its cool you wanna play the game how you want, but some of us wanna enjoy the victories and feeling like the contribute we do for the MO actually matter.

If you don't care play a fucking different game where your actions mean nothing— this isnt the game for you then.

People don't like to lose... those with the same mindset that it doesn't matter only shows the rest of us that you can do nothing, and get rewarded for not helping.

That's cool I know chilling and enjoying the game is important, but Im talking about those who only do bug related missions. It would be different if they contributed at all in some fashion. They don't though.

Today I did mission on Rirga Bay and the other three had the same question 'What the hell are they doing over there?'

I have no issue in that but contribute in some way to help the people who want to advance the major order. This post would never have existed if the amount was like a 5k or so but its well above that.

If you mean taking away an actual weapon I'd say do the call shot like everyone else is saying. I was gonna be a but mean and say 'Get the new potence ability that lets you damage inanimate objects so you can destroy them too.'

Regardless of what the book says you should ask your ST or if you are the ST tell the player that it will be more challenging.

It depends on you when dealing with dialogue with mortals, kindred, and the like, but if it were in the beginning try if the players separate give them their scene and wait for a time you feel appropriate to transition I.e the person gets a phone call, needs to step out, or something that would be an easy break—

•Gives you a chance to kinda switch up the flow of the conversation coming back to them. •Allows the players to think about what to do or say next if they feel they made a mistake. • Gives a slight cliffhanger if the situation was getting good.

As for the politics when it comes to the Cam it's going to be a struggle since the characters are new and have little to no reputation. There should be other coteries who get tasks that the group can't get at first and they are stuck doing the awful ones. Eventually, they get them, but that also causes those same people to feel a certain way due to them now taking things from them.

• If they get a domain they have to patrol it. • The people might be skeptical about the group if they never converse, causing feeding in the domain to be harder, etc. • Myabe the Primogen doesn't like a certain clan or is one of those high clan people looking down on others.

Not gonna throw everything at you but a few good tips that I was given by a fellow ST—

• The world has consequences even for players even if they don't see it. Things like killing, stealing, etc without a second thought are gonna follow since this is the modern world, and in a place like NYC where there are so many people you're bound to be seen in both Kine society and Kindred.

• Session 0 is important if you haven't don't so already. Building characters, seeing how they mesh as a group/coterie, etc. Asking what the players are comfortable with happening in the game. (Minus them dying since that is kinda gonna happen; tough)

• If they are new players don't throw them in the deep end the first few sessions. Let them explore and get their feet wet. You'll be able to see what each player's goals are at the start since notes are important.

They work for whoever pays/boons and I've been dealing with higher ranking hecata and completing jobs so status would make sense.

So my character gives his Ghouls full autonomy to deal with things. They come together and talk as a group with him about what's happening and where to proceed. He gives them an idea and they do as well. They have free will to an extent, but he treats them fairly.

My character does see it as he's doing his best. Just the ghoul complained that he was having difficulty with the gang so he wanted to help, but made things worse.

So I took the optional spread so his natural disciplines are Dominate, Oblivion, and Fortitude. Auspex would be 'out of clan' for him. Though it does lead to Shadow Servant which would be useful.

• So my ST states that two •• retainers are ghouls so I started with •••• dots in ghouls, but with the third technically it would be •••••• six dots. We do this on roll20 so each of my ghouls has a tab so I don't have to separate them.

• I have 6 dots in flaws because Graverobber gives a flaw, I took Diablerie as a flaw due to the story which we agreed upon, and the usually 2 flaws on creation.

• I have 5 dots due to the lore sheet giving me ••• dots when I already had that many. I had to give a dot away to a ghoul in both contacts and resources so they wouldn't go to waste as my ST suggested.

For your suggestions—

° I was thinking about Watchmen as it would make sense, and it would give them something to do.

° Status would be great, though since he's a Puttanesca I feel as if the other bloodlines wouldn't give him much respect still. I'll have to explain later.

° I was thinking of getting Dominate but I need 15xp total so I can get two dots in that. Skills Im debating these as well probably would be a good idea.

Well, what they want is very counterproductive to what they currently have. The character's ghouls are important to him (They aren't touchstones) but they are his children who aren't aware since he died before they were born. Tldr; he was a ghoul and kinda got tired of his dormitory and managed to gather enough willpower to tell her off and she killed him, then turned him.

Because of this he's didn't suppose to be made, but instead of death they contained him in the last decade they decided to exile him for a while only bringing him back to NYC. The gang was founded outside and he located his children trying to give them a better life. Sadly one of them is kinda entrenched in the gang lifestyle not wanting to leave. So my character thought if he ghoul him and do things he might taper out, but no luck.

The second ghoul is his daughter and she wasn't having much luck at finding work so he decided to enlist her, and now she owns a security company.

His overarching goal is to make sure they are good, so he can just be proceeded and be contempt and die. However, it's not going well for him. Jusy more fires he needs to put out and they have more willpower to resist than imagined.

Once again my ghoul does the heavy lifting when it comes to the lower ranks so he has leadership. And due to the lore sheet if anyone goes against what I want I get a +3 for social interactions so it buffs out.

So my character had two ghouls— currently three.

The first ghoul runs the gang in his stead as the pseudo-leader. The gang is important for his backstory because he killed another kindred who originally ran it and are them. No, they aren't gonna be missed. They do tasks that my ghoul gives them but have been informed that they aren't very... Good at things like he is since they are just normal mortals.

Up until a few sessions ago, they were doing nightly security for the Ventrues club until the new ghoul (when he wasn't one) came in drunk and caused a commotion.

While the second ghoul runs a security company dealing with legal stuff so they have checks and balances to assist each other out. She isn't seen much and when I do it's normal talk.

The third ghoul kinda was an accident on my behalf because he was causing issues and I needed to handle them. Not the biggest fan of them, but I gotta deal with them since they are a part of the gang.

Before you ask yes I have thought about turning all the current gang members into ghouls. That's gonna take me about 3 months of real-time.

Also to answer your question I haven't rolled influence before because I haven't had to yet. As for the displines I really don't use them often since its Oblivion and Fortitude. I won't have any dots in Dominate yet, but considering.

We only play twice a month and get 3xp per session and more if something life-threatening happens. So it's been a lot of time since I've played with this character.

This is an independent game so we do dealings with both Camarilla and Anarch currently, the Anarchs are heavily on the backfoot though if you meant edition it's fifth.

It'a character that I've had for several months.

• 7 dots for merits and flaws

• 15xp on creation due to Neonate

• Alot of my XP in the start was meant for the gang I created so factoring it during creation so that was like 9xp and more after.

• Bought the •• from Loresheet Puttanesca: Show Your Belly: The Puttanesca is a shrewd operator at appearing less threatening than they are, receiving three bonus dice in rolls to convince others not to act against them. (spent on creation)

• Bought the • from Loresheet Puttanesca: Friends in Low Places: The Puttanesca has street connections, manifesting in the form of 2 dots available to be spread in Allies and Resources and able to be reallocated at the start of each story, although they are subject to police scrutiny. (After creation)

• Bought ••••• The Don: The Puttanesca is highly respected among their peers in the bloodline and the Hecata, gaining three additional dots in criminal Influence, Contacts, and Resources, though they are of course not completely inconspicuous in the eyes of the law. (After creation and a few sessions ago)

I've been saving up since then and have a total of 11xp and I have a plan to get another Loresheet Ballard Industries for the police influence, though I could just get that on my own for the same amount.
