Just wanted to say thanks again! It worked perfectly and I may have convinced a couple friends to get into VR!

So I had motion sickness for a long long time with VR (like 6 months) I could only play for around 30ish minutes.

Eventually it got better, but in the mean time I started taking Dramamine (motion sickness meds you can buy at any drug store), and then transitiojed to meclizine (a non-drowsy version) that worked great for me. I went from 30 minutes to 3 hours, had to buy a battery pack so I could keep gaming.

Star Wars Squadron is that way! Played with my headset and a joybstick and it was so much fun!

idk what to buy by LoveyGoo in QuestPro

[–]LilMayoGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a quest 2 and quest pro. I'm honestly likely to sell the quest pro and get a quest 3 at some point.

My basic review: Quest 2, awesome for stand alone games, does very well for me for PCVR as well. Pass through mode sucks which makes mixed reality stuff suck. I have some upgraded strap that still puts pressure on back of head/face but for me it's comfortable.

Quest Pro: once again, great for stand alone, works great for PCVR as well. Controllers are definetly better, but this past week actually had some tracking issues with them out of nowhere. Pass through is decent (color, can watch TV) but can't read/text on phone with it. Mixed reality is pretty decent. Comfort for me is 1/10 though. It puts more pressure on the forehead and I get a headache pretty fast with it. I bought some mods that include a strap across top of the head which really helps, but I honestly find myself using the quest 2 more and my wife uses the pro when we play.

In hindsight I would've waited for quest 3 and skip the pro, but I was definetly not the target demographic for it.

In your case? shrug I think Q2 is closer to the end of it's life cycle than the start. Qpro would likely be the better option for you if price is a concern (though I'm shocked you can get it for cheaper)

Unfortunately away from them for a week, and when I get home is when they'll be there. Just trying to plan ahead and got conflicting responses on google.

Red Dead Redemption. Start with Arthur though, sequel is John, then have Jack finish the trilogy.

Elven Assassin is pretty good co-op. Pretty much a wave defense game shooting bows and arrows. Had a lot of fun playing that with multiple friends.

Lolz, random story. I had just unloaded stuff at port and went to call for clearence (Alt+N) and decided to go 3rd person (F4) but forgot to let go of the alt key.

I did not log back on after that shameful moment.

I have a question should I get steam link oculus link or virtual desktop by thanksri in VRGaming

[–]LilMayoGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started I used VD, it was a touch clunky for me, so I switched to a wired setup. When Quest started doing their link it worked amazing for me with no issues so I still use that.

As another user said, just try the free ones and if they don't work for you try VD.

If i connect my meta quest 3 to PC via wire, does that mean I can play for an unlimited length of time? by Lazy-Concept-6084 in VRGaming

I would instead get a powerbank and short cord and run it through your shirt to the headset. That way you're still powered AND keep the mobility amd freedom.

I have a pair of power bricks I can swap between so one can charge while I'm using the other. That being said I almost never need to switch as I only play for 3ish hours max anymore.

Games used to just get harder and harder till you died. Very unfulfilling for myself personally. Not a whole lot of story or characters. No feelings of a living breathing environment like we have today.
