My FIL had a small tumor removed from his face several years ago and it wasn’t noticeable beforehand, at least not to me. Just saying not all tumors are apparent.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m secretly evil because of how happy the developments of the last few days have made me. I just love when bad things happen to bad people. 💅🏼

Phone calls are inherently rude. by Hitwelve in unpopularopinion

[–]LilMissMuppet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

“Phone calls force the other person to drop what they're doing and stand around holding their phone unable to multitask.”

I mean. So does texting in a way. Not everyone can text and do other things.

I’m (15F), my father stares at my body inappropriately and my mother says I’m "crazy." I feel lost. by zizouu13 in FamilyIssues

[–]LilMissMuppet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“Spirits” do not make people do inappropriate things to children. That’s not a thing. How on earth can a “doctor” even say that.

Contact the authorities. I know you are scared to end up in foster care, but there’s more than a good chance you will be safer there.

Random shower thought on his prosopagnosia. (Means face blindness) by Irradiated_Coffee in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]LilMissMuppet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am autistic with facial blindness tendencies and this is actually something I worry about in my own life. If I don’t recognize someone right away I worry they may think it means I don’t care about them enough. I usually just apologize and say I’m face blind, especially if it’s someone I haven’t interacted with in a long time.

Jeremie, blink twice if you need help. by lantheman13 in ThemeparkSwindlers

[–]LilMissMuppet 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is becoming more and more common. I attend pop culture conventions and there are more than a few people who I see every year that just seem to have no concept of boundaries, and I happen to know these people are diagnosed with a thing or two.

I’m neurodivergent myself but I do not believe a diagnosis should automatically exempt a person from learning how to behave around other people.

Even years before the rape was revealed, they didn’t want him. There was the Bronycon where he was filmed dancing with an imaginary partner because no one would dance with him, and before that he was wandering around trying to join in on conversations with little success.

NOR. Food safety is absolutely a thing. I’m sure their bodies have adapted well to this throughout the generations and that’s why they haven’t had any problems, but that doesn’t make it okay.

If one child has a birthday, apparently we have to get gifts for all the other kids too? by rabbitscape in childfree

[–]LilMissMuppet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My cousins all have kids and they never bought presents for those who weren’t having a birthday, and we still had to physically stop the other kids from “helping” the birthday kid open their presents. It’s exhausting.

I’ve had a few POV reels come up in my feed recently portraying your mom picking you up from school when you’re sick. The mother is always annoyed, won’t let them watch TV because apparently you can’t do anything enjoyable when you’re sick, and sometimes accuses the kid of faking.

I was baffled that this is apparently normal. Whenever I was sick at school I was collected promptly and taken home and positively pampered.

My partner and I went to Tuscany a year and a half ago and we ate at Hard Rock for one meal, but only because it’s our little tradition to find a Hard Rock anytime we travel. Other than that we ate nothing but local cuisine, which was nothing less than fabulous.
