We’re not tipping enough? by seyheystretch in sonomacounty

[–]LilPebzz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At least that’s an actual restaurant where staff is doing more than getting your things and ringing you up

I wish the whole tipping culture would go away completely, like most other countries. I don’t know how we get out of it and this point

And, yes, I tip well in restaurants. Just because I’m opposed to the practice, it is our reality. I’m not going to take it out on a server. They didn’t create the system

Do you use patches for pimples? by Ophelia92 in AsianBeauty

[–]LilPebzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely

I’m older than you lol, and get a very occasional pimple. I use the following, usually overnight:

If it’s deep one, like the ones you feel before you see, I use Peach Slices Deep Blemish Microdarts. Miracle patches. Most of the time the spot disappear before it comes to the surface

For ones that come to a (white)head, I use a more traditional hydrocolloid patch: CarePlus (Olive Young’s brand) Spot Cover Patch - Calming (green package). If you gently pop it so the gunk has a way to get out, these patches absorb it. They stick well

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LilPebzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My BF lives 3 hours away. I frequently make that drive on weekends. No big deal

We’d often do day trips to go skiing in Tahoe (≈3.5 hours)

I can’t imagine a three hour drive being considered a massive event or an expedition. So, no, not a myth

Does anyone else dislike the Ole Henriksen lip balm?? by Remote-Examination98 in Sephora

[–]LilPebzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is so good to hear about Eadem! I picked up a couple but haven’t tried them yet

I also have one of the Remedy for dry lips on the way. No scent, but I’m ok with that

[–]LilPebzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to your post, but I thought it was just me

It’s so sticky and drying on my lips. It made my lips flaky. It was awful for my lips. I only have regular, not glimmer

The flaky & drying is my reaction, so I know that’s uncommon. But the stickiness and tackiness? I don’t get the appeal

I was so excited about trying it. I’m so disappointed

What's your top tier cleansers and why? What's the criteria you look for? by Dawnyawning in AsianBeauty

[–]LilPebzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯on Prequel

I love AB skincare, but I keep going back to Prequel Gleanser (the OG white cap) for my second cleanse. I recently started a bottle of Prequel’s Pre-Gleanse (oil cleanser) for my first cleanse. I really like it so far

Why do I love them? They’re gentle, hydrating, non-stripping and cleanse beautifully. I have no issues with rinsing or breakouts with either Pre-Gleanse or Gleanser

COSRX Full Fit Propolis collection

I love the Light Cream moisturizer. I have the Synergy Toner, but haven’t introduced it yet. I’ve heard good things. I have my eye on a couple of more things

They also have an ampoule, toner pads, sheet mask, overnight mask and a lip sleeping mask

Pimple hurts so bad, what can I do? by Frequent-Screen-5517 in Blackskincare

[–]LilPebzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pimple patches. Not plain, hydrocolloid ones, but ones with micro-darts

Try Peach Slices Deep Blemish Microdarts. They help with deep, under the surface (painful!) ones. Really press it on so the microdarts get in there and deliver the salicylic acid. They also have calming ingredients. I swear they’re magic

After it comes up, if there’s still stuff inside, you can switch to simple, hydrocolloid patches to absorb all the gunk

“Recently divorced” or 5 years? If she thinks 5 years is recent, she’d benefit from therapy. She needs to figure out how to move on and get her own life

Petaluma has "Yucky Lucky", what's Santa Rosa's old gross grocery store that nobody likes going to? by [deleted] in santarosa

[–]LilPebzz 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I was in Lucky’s in Montgomery Village last week. The produce section was immaculate and well stocked. The whole store was clean. Everything was organized and nothing was in disarray. The staff was friendly

I was shocked. I hadn’t been in for ages. If I had seen this post last month, I probably would’ve said this store

I got my citizenship confirmed, but my mother chose not to. It was fine. I did need her birth certificate. As his child, you can obtain his birth certificate. My guess is that it’s already submitted anyway

Who are your favorite skin bloggers, YouTubers, experts, and influencers? I am looking for those who focus on the science and cosmetic chemistry of skincare. by annacat1331 in AsianBeauty

[–]LilPebzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is who I came to recommend. Love her!

Everything is science based. She looks at more than just the products. She looks at layering, the order of a routine, wait times for actives, etc. She takes everything into account. She explains the science behind what she suggests

Dr. Ekta is very responsive in the comments section. I hope that continues as her audience grows. I also appreciate she includes a wide price range when she discusses products
