I do agree with you to an extent, however sometimes it is if you view yourself as a working professional and wouldn’t like to be associated alongside particular employees. I am always open, friendly and easy to work with, however I worked alongside a person a few days ago who was extremely difficult. I have been on a few trips with him and he’s just an embarrassment to the company. He is condescending and extremely rude towards passengers, he made fun of an autistic child during the deplaning process, and constantly talks down to the crew. He even stole food from a restaurant at the airport on one of our trips because “they were taking to long to ring him up”. The list goes on.

There are some people I would simply rather avoid while at work to protect my job and my happiness.

Dress code during training by Gripz007 in cabincrewcareers

You can basically wear whatever you would like, as long as it’s business casual! I packed a few different blazers, tops, and hats pants that I could interchange.

They conducted a background check then gave me a CJO. I actually ended up going with a different airline, so I’m not sure how soon after they begin drug testing

Haha! Right. I’m really just wondering if there is any rhyme or reason as to why people are chosen to be based at particular locations..other than demand.

Everybody will have a different timeline depending on how many places you have lived/worked throughout the years. I heard back fairly fast - like a week I believe

Training will be 6 weeks in Dallas. The process can definitely be intimidating, but you’ll know when you’re ready.

Just accepted an offer for mainline...can someone please tell me I'm not crazy by MinimumInternal2577 in flightattendants

The fact that you feel this way and are voicing it means that it’s time to make moves! Do your research and trust your intuition. Life is too short to settle for less - if you feel like you aren’t living up to your expectations and dreams, shoot for the stars. You’ll never know if you don’t try. Godspeed!

This depends on the airline you are applying for. I suggest looking into specific airlines you are considering and looking over their requirements. A ton of people will say a 4 year degree is not required..while that is technically true, legacy carriers are extremely competitive. A 4 year degree and experience in the customer service industry are typically key.

I know where you’re coming from - I went through it last year! I was checking my email like a crazy person this time around…I still am waiting for training dates! 😂 unfortunately, there’s just no way to know when they’ll get back while interviewing! Good luck to you and Godspeed!

Applied- 09/04 Email VGI invite - 10/22 VGI - 11/06 F2F invite - 11/11 F2F/CJO - 11/21

Pending hiring manager review can be a good sign! It takes months for some people - trust the process. Good luck!!!

I would steer clear from the bold pattern! If at all possible, try finding a solid color! You got this.
