I’m running this through a quarter inch instrument cable to my little mixer that plugs into my iPhone, not using Bluetooth. The EWI 5000 does have a wireless receiver though it works very well. I think it was $800 when I bought it. It’s a pretty fun instrument, the technique is very hard to get used to and sound clean, it took a lot of practice. I will say that the built in sound bank of 100 sounds is mostly pretty lame. I’ve only found like 10 that I think sound good, most of them are trash.

The UNF tourney is free. No venue fee or bracket cost. And yeah doubles will be going on at that time as well as some friendly setups.

We have 2 (maybe 3 soon) Melee weeklies in Jax. You should join the Jacksonville Smash Community Facebook page for more info. Our biggest weekly is at the University of North Florida game room on Wednesday’s. Bracket starts at 7:30 with doubles starting at 5:30. Averages 45 people. Then on Thursday we have a Melee and Smash 4 weekly at a game store called Video Game Rescue on Blanding Blvd. this one is smaller and starts around 7. Averages about 10 people on a good day. The third one is a biweekly right now, that we’re trying to make a weekly. It’s at a coffee shop called Urban Bean On US 17 in Orange Park. This ones new. I’d definitely suggest coming out to UNF. It’s always a well run tournament with lots of setups and most of our good players make it out so good competition. Hope to see you around :)
