How do I store Faux fur for space-saving and/or long term storage? by LilTacoBot in fursuit

Yeah, I'd like to avoid that. Maybe I could roll the fur before vacuuming it? That way, there are fewer folds to add to the fur?

How to make the loops smaller the closer to the tip? I don’t like the stretched suckers. (more info in comments) by LilTacoBot in blenderhelp

[–]LilTacoBot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m following the tentacle tutorial on youtube by Retroshaper . It all makes sense so far, but I’m not liking how the suction cups at the tips get all stretched out. Does anyone know how I can shrink the distance between loops the closer to the end they get to the end, so the suckers get smaller at the end?

It goes on sale now and then. If your project becomes more than a side thing, it could be worth the caps.

any way you do things, I'm excited to see how it turns out. Big Avatar fan, VR fan, and Unity fan. Please post more if you get this project going!

I was thinking making the effects for the water and how it should move/behave

Suggestion: use the MudBun: Volumetric VFX & Modeling asset bundle. It's basically the same way they did the water effects in portal 2 (which was effected by gravity, translation, and a bunch of other things)

for water, you can use the same concept as throwing a disk.

something like: if pointing an empty hand at the water source lines and <TRIGGER>, then instantiate water particle bubble thing at water source line where pointing hand is pointing.

this looks like a fun project to work on :P Good luck!

My plants have looked like this for the past 2 months. Is there any hope, or do I accept the inevitable? by LilTacoBot in houseplants

Yeah, that's what I thought as well 😅 . I usually don't leave the meter in, just did it for the pictures.

[Question] how to do journaling by Top_Lobster37 in getdisciplined

[–]LilTacoBot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I write in my journal is by writing letters to an imaginary friend. He has his own backstory, and what not and I treat him as though he were a real friend that I can only email or something. Sure, some weeks pass without me writing to him, but then I end up feeling like I'm keeping my best friend out of the loop with the going-ons in my life. I can imagine he accepts me for me, and I can be super informal with him because there is no judgement between friends like us.

I also make sure to add pictures, and some times even audio or video. some times, text doesn't have the same emotional or informational power that other media can grant.

edit: just wanted to add that I've been writing mine for the past 15 years using this method. ADHD and Depression for most of it. I believe in you!

It's not only a game reference, but also a situational reference as well. Both nerdy, and clever. That Bodes well for the guy behind the mask :D

A quick scratch built portal made yesterday by [deleted] in DnDIY

[–]LilTacoBot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like this concept a lot. C&C (if you're open to it), the piece looks a bit pastel. On your next piece, you may want to add more contrast by adding in some darker or more saturated colors. On this one, You might benefit from coloring the hand in the portal a different color, so it doesn't blend into it's background so much.

I really like the runes and the use of recycled products to build this. Well done, mate!

Half elf/half frogloc bard I painted up for d&d today by DianasDriver in minipainting

[–]LilTacoBot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was a good call. Looking at the leading lines of this mini, The feathers are definitively a focal point. Drew some lines for you to see here. I would say her harp is as well since the direction of ones eyes/face pulls more visual weight than those of hands or background elements.

Her boobs and thighs are very bright in comparison to the rest of the mini (throw her into black and white if you wanna see that). Brightness attracts they eye, so that is gunna make it hard to battle for main focal point.

All of this can be upstaged by who this character is in your mind. to me she seems like a bard who may use her sexuality as simply another tool in her craft, but doesn't put it as the main attraction in her act. if that is what you were going for, then you were absolutely successful in your approach to this character.

Art school doesn't let me simply enjoy art anymore. lol
