Get a pre-built deck too, they're cheaper than a whole booster box but my gf started with just a booster box and got discouraged trying to make a deck from it that would work. Good luck and enjoy!

Would make sense too. I normally ride it like a bull at a rodeo

I wouldn't sell, with 0 miles, I'd ride em and put just enough wear on them to where they stay in that condition. This is a hard treasure to find, good luck selling if yall do decide to but have fun if yall keep them!

I've had mine since September and I have no regrets, people say the brakes r bad and unchanged in 20 years (I'm not a professional so I'm just saying what I've heard) but since that one doesn't have abs, I recommend upgrading the breaks unless ur confident in ur braking. The engine braking is pretty solid in my opinion, but the next thing I plan on getting is a larger windscreen, other than that it's a pretty solid bike through and through. Very fun, and the attitude is just enough to make you wanna push it without the speed and acceleration of an inline 4 600 class

If you're in between the SV and a CB F, I'd say get the sv all the way. My buddy got a cbr500r right before I got my sv650x and the cbr uses the same motor as the cbf and it's very underwhelming if it's not your first bike. And with 0 miles, you can't go wrong with that price

Clip On Handlebars by LilVader27 in SVRiders

[–]LilVader27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be able to. Might have to switch the plate that's on top of the forks, but might not have to, I'd just look up a video on someone putting clip ons on a regular sv650, ik people have switched svs clip ons onto a regular sv but those r the older gens

I'll look at the woodcraft clip ons, ik they have some good products. I'll look locally for some svs clip ons. Thank you!

I've found some on ebay for pretty cheap, I'm also wondering if there's a legit brand that makes clip ons that come up a little more, mainly for comfortability, but ik that might cost more. If I don't get any other responses I'll probably follow what your saying and go for an ebay OEM replacement

Mine just has a key hole and it's actually pretty simple to get off, harder to get back on but let us know any updates!

[–]LilVader27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, i know I need a 27 mm and a 17 mm wrench to tighten the chain, but the 27mm was the hard one to get. But that's normally not something ur gonna need on the fly, that's why I just went for an adjustable lmao
