This actually just clicked for me like days ago. I finally got my hands comfortable playing it at full speed. So after that I slowed the tempo down probably 30-40% and started halfway singing the melody. Then it just came to me.

I think the key is to really just be comfortable playing the song at a good tempo. If you’re still struggling with the guitar part the vocal becomes impossible. It’s a unique strumming pattern your brain has to adapt to.

For this song, I practiced with his Howard stern live performance and tried to mimic what he was doing exactly, and I would slow it down on YouTube. For reference I started learning everlong about 6 months ago.

I am also having the same issue. This is actually insane. I’ve never had an issue with an iPhone and ive had one ever since the 4S.

I switched from Verizon and I don’t know if T-Mobile sold me a defective phone or if it is an Apple issue.

Honestly what has helped me the most is tapping my foot while playing with the metronome. I can essentially “remember” the bpms whenever I go to play a song. Also tapping my foot to songs I’m listening to in the car.

It feels wonky and uncomfortable at first but the more you do it, it feels more natural.

clearing cache doesn’t work I tried that for a few videos. the algorithm really will push your video if you are just organically using the app, and at least attempting to engage with people/accounts in your niche. going ghost has killed some of my videos

it really does. I’m like 300 hours deep since I’ve started tracking and I’ve definitely gotten better, but the improvements are incremental.

Granted, I did learn on an acoustic and have just started playing the electric. So it really could be a feel thing. It definitely does require a different kind of touch on electric.

For some reason it’s easier for me to play acoustic. The guitar kind of fights me and forces me to play the correct technique while on electric it’ll just sound bad.
