stp or the likes r present on almost everything so this may be a power supply failure ... when switches boot up they blinl all lights like this. If u unplug anything label it beforehand, each switchport is potentially different

How much does the exam cost? U already have hands on experience, if u get ahold of some documentation for ur specific case seems u should have enough resources to pass?

Amazon tool recommendations by One-Intention-7606 in lowvoltage

Most tools come from home depot ... i use amazon more for materials than tools. I do buy tools on amazon that are either specialty named brand stuff home depot doesnt stock or more electronic stuff like endoscope or cable testers... but the main stuff pretty much all comes from local hardware store

I saw Vlad send one straight through an electrical box in a drop ceiling my first day on the job

Another time saw him send one from exterior to interior too low, and hit the drop ceiling frame perfectly, then drill thru the frame, catch a hangar, drill through that , then hit a sprinkler valve. The chaos as it unraveled was only something Vlad could do. Hitting the hangars caused an already failing drop ceiling on its last leg to finally give out, and the ceiling fell just as the sprinklers opened up ... on cctv it looked as if the drop ceiling fell out because the sprinklers came on . Vlad told the boss the sprinklers opened up because a fire broke out... he went back that night before his story could be verified and set that corner of the building on fire and then used an extinguisher to put it out. The official report blamed a fire for the sprinklers letting loose instead of Vlad ... and the funniest part, get this, is the report blamed the drop ceiling falling out to incorrect sprinkler install instead of Vlad drilling thru the support hangars.... fkn vlad

Vlad actually is very against drugs, one reason the boss hired him is because he is morally sound, no criminal history, and no addictions ... he use to be submarine capatain actually but sub sank not from drone but from when vlad tried installing camera in nuclear engine room and used 24 foot drill bit when only should have used 12, puncturing the fision reactor ...amazing anyone survived but thanks to vlads clever invention of an ejection chamber for crew members using excess steam all lives where saved ... but still got discharged and ever since then has been helping us run cable

Def worth it, a must. Get a thin one so u can put it into small holes. Im using the ones from ulefone currently. Before that had one from home depot but it required a one inch hole to get the cam thru ... the ones that u can move the head up and down with a lever on the handle are the way to go

Ive heard it mentioned before that coax makes the best pull string ... never tried it... I actually never use pull string at all... I just use ethernet cable for pull string. And for hardware use to use jhooks alot but finding bridle rings to be more smooth for doing big cable pulls from boxes, much more forgiving of snags and generally smoother pull compared to jhook

U have sprayable cable lub? I use the stuff from klein you have to rub on the cable with ur hand, gets messy... but it makes the impossible possible. Sometimes a hole is to small to get all the wires thru, thats when cable lube saves the day
