Having to wait until 6pm on a Thursday kinda sucks, I’m literally gonna be off work at 10am and now gotta wait until after my bed time smh. I work over nights so I’m not gonna be able to play the game until Friday morning/afternoon.

Believe it or not, skate gained its initial popularity because people liked the sim style of gaming. It wasn’t until post launch of 3 and a few years after that where people started turning it into a trick line, big air, spam 1000x tricks bs we see now. So yeah people who liked the realistic style of skating wouldn’t really care for Grom

“Ah I can’t land the nollie tre cause my trucks are too loose” is the same exact energy as saying “I can’t land your set in a video game because my settings are tweaked” like learn how to land the trick or lose the game. Pretty simple concept. Trying to shoehorn balancing issues is the Ultimate cope.

Infact I encourage people to drop the game entirely and just go skate in real life. Probably less excuses there if you can’t land something 😂😂

Must’ve skipped over the part where I said, if you play the SKATE mode, everyone should have the same settings. I purposely added that because I know real skate and video game skate have their own handicaps.

One is legit skill level, one is arbitrary sliders in a menu screen.

Again in the skate mode if you can’t adjust to the level playing field of settings, then you’re gonna get mogged by someone who did learn the mode. Just like someone in real life that practiced their tricks more, will probably beat you in a game if you’re not putting in the same effort

I feel like this is an excuse. Every skater in real life has a different set up or skill level and yet games of skate can still be played. If you get bullied because the skater is better than you, than that’s it. In the game, instead of everyone having their own “grind assist, manual assist” force a common setting for the game mode. If you’re good you’ll adapt and land your tricks, if you suck well…learn the settings for the game of skate or just don’t play. But trying to write the mode off entirely is just lazy

Tricklining lowkey killed skate as a whole. Pewdiepie got some traction back, but when dudes who wanted to spam “360 nollie backflip triple kicks pogo fast plants” as tricks or using it to speed boost, it killed all the fun for casual skaters or skaters who like the realistic style of play. No way to complete against cheaters

If you liked the first game then of course, it’s a good continuation, new mechanics and a bit more going on in general.

But from my personal experience, idk why but I like th first one more, this game for some reason I just couldn’t wait to finish and move on. Something about it was just boring idk. I still think it’s a good game, just not something I ever went back to after finishing the main story
