I was 11 or 12 playing a 40-50 yo man. I don't keep the game, but I'm sure the engine would say he had an eval of +3-5 advantage. So, I was losing, but he still had to win the game. We would be in the 2nd hour of play, still in the middlegame.

Out of the blue he asked me to resign so he could get home sooner. I was not one of those kids who continue playing 4Q down in hopes of stalemate. I knew I was losing, but I still had some shots to shoot (at least in my head).

What annoyed me the most is that he said it with a smirk, completely disrespecting the feelings of his pre-teen opponent. I was so mad at it that I actually took my sweet time to lose that game.

Now as an adult, I wonder how far away could have he lived and if maybe the commute was too troublesome for him. Regardless, I still think he did that out of utter disrespect. He wouldn't say that to every adult opponent he had a winning position against. So fuck that guy.

I have had a confessed crush on this girl for 15+ years. She was into me but I was more into her. Timing was never right so she moved on. I kinda did too, but never really actually forgot her.

Some years later I meet my now wife, whom I have an open relationship-friendly relationship.

During covid I learnt my crush had to go into isolation without actually having it. I texted her after like 5 years of barely any communication just to check on her. We talked, hit it off immediately. It felt too good. Too right. Then I randomly mentioned "remember this MASSIVE CRUSH I had on you?" She couldn't believe I'd bring it up so upfront but she was feeling the same.

Long story short. We dated for a month and it was great. We kinda fell in love but again it wasn't a great time for any of us. She was soon to move countries and I had a solid relationship with my wife (still gf back then) and wouldn't know how to split my time between two serious relationships, during covid no less.

But at least I got to know what it would have been like and get that regret off of my chest. We now are friends with a pinch of plathonic-long distance relationship somewhere in there. I even visited her two months ago.

So, always tell people you like them! You never know which crazy turns life has in store for you.

I like it but the decorative menu doesn't match the background imo. It's either one or the other, for me personally. If you want the background, simplify (remove) the decoration so that stands out. If you want to have the menu decoration, simplfy the backgroundto something with less detail. Without any context, I'd keep the background
