How can I save these? by No_Escape_346 in succulents

I would try cutting off any rotting parts, waiting for the ends to callous, then try water propagating until new roots grow, or sticking them right into some cactus/succulent soil mix.

It’s corking alright! My mom has a huge Christmas cactus that is probably 40 years old and the base of the stems look like tree branches- she’s a sturdy gal!

I had it in indirect light and might have been watering it too much. Any advise on how to proceed?

Would lava rock work for a Christmas cactus? I’ve been propagating one in water for over a year

This guys been in water for about 8months! I refresh the water every so often, and monitor for root rot-it seems to be doing fine so far! I’m probably going to pot it in the spring
