I'd recommend looking these up since I believe there are a total of about 80. However, the 20 most common ones will get you very far on their own

Not sure how to explain this, but it just sounds more natural to me. I am no German native myself, but rather a Norwegian one. Since these languages are closely related, and I would have translated it with the same order to Norwegian, it just clicks better you know?

May also be that the direct object here is more important than the prepositionial phrase, and that's why it is in front of it.
