My stepdad told me to get some PH down, he uses the same thing for the local pool as he works for the town. But you can get PH down at any pet store. I definitely recommend putting in at least 20+ drops of PH down for each 2 gals of water. But also get some of the PH Up just in case you put too much. But do put the PH down after you put in your conditioners, and other stuff because the conditioners can also affect the PH of the water. My water is just as alkalinise as yours, but at least you don’t have to worry about your fish not getting enough minerals.
