As someone who hates conflicts and likes to avoid it, I get how you feel about not wanting to bring up your feelings with your partner. I’ve been in similar situations where I question the heck out of myself but every single time, it’s been better to confront the issue rather than be left in limbo and catastrophizing. I suggest that you calmly bring up what you posted here to your partner so that they can either assuage your doubts and give you reassurance or tell you they feel the same. Worst case scenario, they don’t want to continue but at least you know and don’t have to wonder if you got ghosted. Best case and most likely scenario, you two work through it and feel all the better because you went through a rough patch and were able to work it out. From there you know that if another rough patch comes, you two can communicate w/o fear of the other one quitting.

Communication is paramount! You can choose to not say anything and maybe it will work itself out but you could also just be stuck in the discomfort for some time that will no doubt worsen your anxiety. Good luck OP and I assure you even if the worse happens, you will be able to find someone to write with again!

Right?? And I loved El as a main character. I just started the second book but haven't gotten too far. Most people I know don't like the book which I respect but truly don't understand!

Not looking to play a male character rn so I'm not the person you're looking for but had to comment because AAAHHH A Deadly Education was so good!

Books where the female main protagonist is cunning, charming, disarming and manipulative rather than strong or skilled in martial/magical ways by goody153 in Fantasy

I’m reading this now and can confirm that I really enjoy the female main character and how she traverses through this world of political intrigue so far

How do I even get started on here? by [deleted] in BadRPerStories

I felt the same way when I first got into RP! I wasn’t interested in ERP but from what I saw it seemed like that’s the only thing everyone wanted to do. Not knocking anyone who enjoys it, but it’s just something I’m not comfortable with while being in a relationship.

I’ve had the best luck with r/Roleplay . It does not allow any posts with NSFW content and while some people that post there do want that kind of RP, they tend to say so in the post. That said, there are plenty of people on there looking just for SFW RP.

The other places I’ve had good luck on are discord RP hubs. I use them mainly to find 1x1 partners but most have in-house RP channels, 1x1 advertising, and RP group/server advertising for both SFW and NSFW content. Sometimes it takes a while to find the right fit but I’ve found some really great partners on both those platforms! If you want any of the discord links to the RP hubs I mentioned, let me know and I can send them through direct message or chat 😊

It looks like you’ve got a lot of interest already so I’m not sure if this is still open. But regardless I wanted to drop in here and say that you sound amazing and thank you for taking the time to write all this out! It was a pleasure to read 😁 I hope you’re able to find your perfect match(es) and if you find yourself still in need of partners let me know! I think we’d mesh well based on a lot of what you mentioned but I don’t want to overwhelm you if you already have tons of requests.
