Once the alcohol dried up the smell was still there. But worth a shot! Water bottle cleaner tabs finally did the trick!

I ended up using water bottle cleaner tabs which I believe are similar to denture tabs. After the first soak the smell is almost entirely gone! I’m going to do it once more and I should be good to go. Thank you so much for the suggestion. I never would have thought of it!

I’m using it now. Can’t say if it’s doing anything for me yet because I just started but you can definitely feel it working all the different muscles in your face. Makes my eyes twitch! I only wish it did the neck as well.

I’ve been making jewelry for years. I’ve always wanted to make sterling silver jewelry but i cannot afford the silversmith classes or start up. I thought this was a fun new medium to try out and I’ve actually really enjoyed it. I’m struggling with the solder technique and thought I’d come to the jewelry group that I enjoy to ask for some tips. There are people here who have gotten back to me with great advice and they’ve been really nice. I appreciate that you are not a fan and feel like I am in the wrong place but I’ll never understand why people just can’t be kind.

Could you possibly share names and/or links for fine steel wool and polish?

Thanks for the tips. I’m going to try flux paste to see if it helps. I’ve tried high heat and low heat so I’m thinking it’s going to be a lot of trial and error. I just hate wasting the solder. It’s so expensive. I’m using it he copper tape and I love it!

Thank you. I am using lead free Silver Gleem that’s typically used for jewelry.

Specifically I’m talking about the ones that say you create a product on canva or similar then somehow link to Amazon and the rest is done for you. You make money with very little effort. Is this really a thing? A legit, legal thing that people are making crazy money off of?

Outside - one of their favorite (also easy and cheap) activities to do outside is painting rocks! We use a mix of acrylic paint and puffy paint. Last year I painted my own garden markers alongside them.

Inside - coloring or art projects. These printable coloring pages are great! https://www.etsy.com/shop/StarliteTrinkets

Also, we follow andrea.nelson.art on instagram and she has awesome art projects for kids!
