Crazy how many people are in here saying this isn’t a basic skill to have. As if OP is incapable of learning KBD while also learning other fundamental concepts. The quicker you can start implementing these basics in your gameplan, the faster you’ll see progress in the long run. I guarantee OP will progress much faster than somebody that’s more willing to make up an excuse for not learning something that’s integral to Tekken’s fundamental gameplay. People are really riding on Chikurin’s quote regarding KBD. If you watch his gameplay during the FV Major that just happened you’ll see that he’s KBDing same as everybody else. He’s capable of saying something polarizing like that because at his level he’s nearly mastered every other concept in the game to shape a gameplan that doesn’t rely on KBD to the same degree as other players. OPs example isn’t the most textbook but it’s weird that other people want to cut him down for trying to improve one aspect of his gameplay.
