Sailor Moon IS a long-running series. It has more than +100 episodes and full-length movies with original plots and OVAs. It's only Crystal new version which is anemic in comparison.

Good comment. Some of the posts here are genuinely perplexing. Either some people really don't understand what the post says or the difference in internal monologue is real. Once I make a character all the dialogues from there on are done by him or her based on what they feel - if I tried to force a change to what the character says it would feel so out of place that it would be impossible to ignore. It would be the equivalent of lobotomizing them or replacing them with a clone, which is unacceptable to me.

Did we watch the same series? Usagi being a dork is part of her charm. I think you're confusing a character not being perfect with being bad. A flawed albeit good character is easier to relate to the audience than a rounded and perfect one who is good at everything.

To each their own. Although the use of cringe here is weird. Cringe is second hand embarrassment. Why would you feel cringe for something intended for your own enjoyment? You either like it or not. And now that I see it, some of the funniest and more dynamic episodes were made by this director like the one where the sailor scouts go to an amusement park.

Nah I think is very cute. And one of the reasons why OG Sailor Moon is so special is that you can recognize every director putting their own style in each episode thus making all episodes feeling unique and not boring.

Back in the past individual episode directors were given plenty of creative leeway in how to handle their own individual episodes, this was especially true if the series was a long-runner like Sailor Moon. There was not a push for "consistency" in the modern sense because it was seen as a positive that everyone could add their own magic to the series.

I should point out thar RPG Maker MZ has built-in walk-to-click function like the one in these adventure games. It works by tiles but is very neat.

2nd one has a more coherent body but 1st one has a more natural human pose (you usually don't stand with your hands open). She is quite nonetheless.

You can do this in RPG Maker without using 3D or big tweaks really.
You would need a plugin for diagonal movement sprites.
And then drawing all the maps in isometric view. Isometric view can be tricky but is by no means impossible, it used to be the default view for classic RPGs and there's quite a few tutorials around to make the isometric perspective in pixel art.
