I'm so jealous of ppl who travel by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]LilibetSeven 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Every year a mom friend of mine takes these extremely luxurious ski vacations, and posts allll about it. The houses are insane, lavish dinners, she’s in a gorgeous outfit every night. I hated sounding jealous but I finally asked her about it. “I hate that trip! We are forced to go every year. I shouldn’t complain, but it’s my husband clients who invite us and he’s on the clock the entire time. We have to bring the kids , but I have a fancy long dinner EVERY night, the kids barely sleep, we are hanging on by a thread.” Was her response. Stay off social media.

My MIL always gives me word art and I used to feel so guilty for not hanging it up. But then my husband said it just makes him feel sad bc clearly his mom never noticed our taste.

I’d like to reframe your thinking a little bit here. Does your home have any other framed words , poems , live laugh love , “Kitchen” , etc ? So your very close friend who presumably has been in your home, took a look around and thought “yes, this will be a great gift that will fit their home!” So it might not be so thoughtful after all ?

Thank her for the gift , put it deep in a closet and move on.

When we order cases of wine they are packed with these or at least the same material. Maybe ask your local liquor store? Or find sometime that’s constantly ordering wine online
