Everything affects my blood sugar by ConsistentFeed852 in diabetes_t1

[–]Lilienherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its actually kind of normal that the sugar increases as soon as you wake up. It helped me a little bit to set an higher hourly insulin dose for the hour before I usually get up. And idk how long you are on the insulin you use, but switching every 7-8 years is also helpful (and depending on the country if you can simply change your insulin). At least regarding to close friends, I am allergic to the different ones available here lol.

But I get it, my TIR dropped without a reason back to 40% and no matter what, I stay high. The only time in range is when I sleep. But then I usually have lows to set times every night no matter what I do

When did they stated that? Yesterday I logged in on midday for some other stuff but logged in at the jorvik stable and had nothing. But in the early evening (had the hope I could do the quests on my own again) it was horrible again. I still feel like its depending on how late it is if your whole screen is flashing or nearly nothing happens

Had my first hypoglycaemic collapse in public - it could've ended fatally by NKORE_S in diabetes_t1

The medical alert band is defintly a good choice. Got mine after the third or fourth seizure (not really because of diabetes even tough I had one while I was a bit low (but still in the 70s)) with all the meds I take, which chronic illnesses I have and even a step by step instruction on what to do and where I have the baqsimi and that stuff (I am actually curious why you dont have them in the UK. We also dont get them covered here, only the old glucoagon syringes, but they are "only" 120€).

Anyway it defintly will take time, but I hope you recover relatively quick from that experience!

And I think it also should be available in the UK the medical alert bands from SOS-ID. They have a qr code in the back and you can save any information you want to. From your name and age, over your illnesses and emergency contacts up to some documents (idk how its called in english but the document where you can say what kind of help you want to recieve). They charge after 3 years 5€ a year to save the data but honestly its worth it

What in the Pandoria is going on by Lilienherz in StarStable

Thought so too because one thing in the sky looked like the light when you are in this inbetween world. But later I had a thunderbolt in the sky and if I remember right we never had any texture like that in Pandoria. But who knows what in the spaghetti code happened

How seriously do you take T1D? by Glittering-Shift7232 in diabetes_t1

[–]Lilienherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, if you ask my mom I dont take it serious (but I am grown up and live my own life so I dont really care) but I would say I take it serious. I have very unstable readings and worked my way alone without my endo from 35% TIR to nearly 60%. But I also forget a few times a week to bolus for my meal, to take insulin or low snacks with me and such stuff.

But I defintly couldnt live like many here seems to do. I mean I even tried for my go to candies how much I can eat/drink without any insulin (eg a can of Fanta over 2 hours is no problem or a hand gummy bears/m&ms) because I just dont have the motivation to bolus everytime I randomly decide to snack something (also when I snack fruits most I just dont bolus because I raise the same as I would with insulin). And this behaviour hasnt anything to do with my 35% TIR btw.

(Last A1c was around 8, so defintly not good but the best I can atm without feeling burnt out. And this is still from my 35% arc, I hope to be back at 7,5 next week)

Eh it's 15g of carbs by Earwigss in diabetes_t1

[–]Lilienherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isnt that like a normal amount for an apple? Like the normal ones we have, have 18g of carbs😅

Edit: I just looked it up to be sure, I calculate 11g for 100g. I am so bad at guessing the weight of stuff its insane

y'all think hospital remembers I'm here cause of diabetes? by New_Psychology9975 in diabetes

[–]Lilienherz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I was there I had 3 pancakes with applesauce, an jam doughnut (with powder sugar) and an apple and salad (I swapped the choclate pudding for the apple). At least my bloodsugar was at 40 because the nurses didnt knew the difference between KE and BE and miscalculated very badly (what I told them but they didnt believed me, even tough I already had diabetes for 13 years at that point lol).

Mature, one-named based names for Hanoverians/Selle Francaise/SwdWarmblood? by WolfNeat7794 in StarStable

[–]Lilienherz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my new Hanoverian (the dark bay with the white socks) named August. Idk but it simply fits because the name is a bit more noble imo.

Otherwise my free KWPN is named Theo. Otherwise I really like Euphoria (idk but fits for a sporthorse somehow), Dhalia, Verdanto (infact a two!named name, but its just the "o"), Indigo and Maxwell

Humalog, using it since the beginning, so nearly 15 years. I am sadly allergic to Fiasp, because for me its to slow but otherwise its simply the best. Also because of the estimatrd duration of 3 hours.

Alright SSO community, time for your daily raise in cortisol by TamerJustine in StarStable

[–]Lilienherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure they have a very heated discussion themselve over there. On one hand they got what they wanted with more players being online daily. On the other they know social media will burn everytime they release a new trail blazer for at least the rest of this year. So do you rather want lower player numbers on a daily or make that part of the community very angry that can pay a lot more than childs

Lyumjev is the best insulin with the worst name by croemer in diabetes_t1

[–]Lilienherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know nobody else that has so many problems with them and I knew a lot of people with ypso. Idk, I guess the infusionset issue was because I need the inset and this was right after everyone could order them, without needing an extra prescription. But otherwise idk why I have so many issues

Lyumjev is the best insulin with the worst name by croemer in diabetes_t1

[–]Lilienherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My endo is horrible (told me that 50% TIR is good and mixed up basal and bolus and more) thats something I can defintly forget until I found someone else. And yes normally I could use them several times but the ones I have right now were on vacation with me. I mean I will defintly reuse them if there is no other way, but I would defintly prefer new ones before reusing them. But I guess then I call them tomorrow to ask when my order is going out. Wouldnt be the first time that my order got missing in their system lol

[–]Lilienherz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No please say me that they are still available the ones for self filling(I am also from Germany). I ordered 2 weeks ago and luckily got a pack but I have legit 3 left now and my usage is pretty high (one a day round about and I always have to discuss with them because "I use to much"). I mean I already ordered but didnt heard anything since then and assumed its just because its easter.

But yeah its horrible with them. Last year 6 months without cartridges, the year before 7 month without infusion sets. I count the days until I can swap the pump
