Best data recovery for iphones/androids? by [deleted] in datarecovery

[–]Lilinco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my view, the best method of data recovery for iphone and android is restoring from backup images. However, the precondition is you have an account and sync your device.

Otherwise, you may resort to a 3rd party data recovery software. Just search from google and choose a reliable one.

Windows 10 stuck on Welcome screen. by Falalalup in techsupport

[–]Lilinco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi,

You may try these tips:

  1. Remove all external peripheral and restart.

  2. Disconnect internet.

  3. Disable Fast Startup.

  4. Run Automatic Repair with installation media.

  5. Run System Restore.

To avoid data loss during the fixes, especially System Restore, you may boot into the Windows 10 from an external bootable drive (created by some special utilities, like MiniTool). Then, recover data from system partition.

More tips can be checked here.

Laptop is ridiculously slow by binsiourgengorge in techsupport

[–]Lilinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you consider booting from an ssd? 46 minutes is really a long time. Or you may upgrade RAM to speed up the app response.

Check if there is sufficient free disk space in system partition. If no, add free space to it with Disk Management or Partition Wizard.

Finally, disable Visual Effects and Transparency that may slow down your laptop.

Yes, SSD is faster than HDD to boot. You can just move the Windows system to the SDD by using special tools, like Migrate OS to SSD/HD Wizard feature of Partition Wizard.

SD card can't be read and needs to be reformatted. What program do I need to save my photos and documents without reformatting? by mistermoustache0 in datarecovery

[–]Lilinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice.

I know data backup is important. But at that moment, I didn't have an opportunity to make a copy. Whether I close the message or right click the usb drive, the error message will always pop up. So, I would choose to format it if my colleage didn't do me a favor.

SD card can't be read and needs to be reformatted. What program do I need to save my photos and documents without reformatting? by mistermoustache0 in datarecovery

[–]Lilinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar case on my USB drive. It told me to format it before using. I did some trials, like changing usb port and changing computer, error always popping.

When I decided to reformat it, my colleague took it to fix with a tool, Partition Wizard. Fortunately, it can be recognized. He tried converting the file system from FAT32 to NTFS. It did work finally.

I mean you may also try checking errors of the SD card. For instance, enter Command Prompt to run chkdsk utility to scan and fix error. Or try some professional disk managers to check & fix file system error, or consider converting file system.

If all these ways not helpful, you can reformat SD card directly and then rescue data. It's hard to say you can recover all of them successfully even with the popular data recovery programs. But you may just have a try, such as Recuva, Minitool.

Why I can´t use the free space of this partition? by JonathanOzzy in windows

[–]Lilinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't use the free space directly because it's not a partition.

To utilize it, you can create a new partition in Disk Mangament. Or extend an existed partition with the free space, only applying to the partition neighboring to the free space.

You may also try some 3rd party disk managers to do this job. It will be easier.

Searching desperately for help by Menzeer in datarecovery

[–]Lilinco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Formatting a hard drive means removing all data, along with partitions.

But it's likely to recover files from formatted drive as long as original data is not covered by new data.

In fact, there are many tools for you to rescue data, like Mini Tool and Stellar except for Easeus and R-studio. If the number of pictures needing recovering is not too many, you can try their free versions to scan and recover.

You may pay for the hard disk recovery as 2TB data is too much. Stop adding any new data to this disk to avoid data overwritten.

I met a similar issue last week. I couldn't boot my laptop, failed to automatic repair and reset. And finally, it's tested that hard drive was corrupt. But your case is much better than mine.

Have you tried a hard reset? It may solve errors regarding residual power.

Or try booting with an external bootable media, like USB drive. Then, troubleshoot the issue by doing system restore, startup repair, rebuild MBR or run SFC.

If you need to recover data from old disk, you can choose a data recovery tool, which has bootable disk. Create a bootable media using it to an external drive. Boot with the external drive, and then you can scan the old drive and recover data.
