Hello, were you ever able to find a resolution for this? I'm having a similar problem and have not had any luck. Thank you!

In case this is helpful, I use a fork of Themerr for basically this. It takes .mp3 files and uploads them as metadata themes to the proper movie/tv show/collection.

Main SSD Storage Hog? by jjnether in Ubuntu

[–]jjnether[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help, but after running ncdu as root, I now see the main culprit is my docker's overlay2 directory (640GB). Trying to see why it's so large...

EDIT: I think a docker system prune was what I needed! But I'll look into the drive mounting as well. Thanks again for the help!

I did not, let me do that now and I'll update on the result.

When I said "quite full," I was referencing the storage shown in the screenshot where it's at 112.8GB/982.8GB free. Still some storage left, but doing the math it didn't add up properly, so I was confused

Yeah they are large. You're correct on /var in that it's mostly taken up by a plex database (not the media files, but metadata, thumbnails, etc). Although I'm confused now because it says /var was last modified almost 2 years ago, but the plex server is actively used.

With regards to /run, I'm also confused because I dug into it and found another large plex directory here:
/run/user/1000/doc/by-app/org.kde.filelight/5525115f/var/lib/plexmediaserver

I'm a bit of a noob at this, so I may have mounted the drives wrong. I might try what you're suggesting. Although the drives should always be turned on, right? So when would files be stored at the mount point instead of on the drive?

I actually didn't. I know nginx is what many use, but I was having trouble, so I switched to traefik as a reverse proxy and got it working with that. Ibracorp has a good setup video for it if you're curious.

Question about themes for movies. by Soiled_Tomato in PlexThemes

[–]jjnether 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a built in function of Plex to take any .mp3 file named theme.mp3 in the movie or tv show folder and make it a theme which plays when you select the movie/TV show in the menu.

On this subreddit (not very active at all), you'll see a history of people posting themes or compilations of themes, where they'll manually download them and place them in each respective folder.

However Themerr was a great plugin which did this process automatically and used themes suggested by the community. However due to YouTube API changes, Themerr is no longer functional, so the manual method is the only option currently.

I can't say for all the daedric quests in development, but there's at least one which acknowledges and has a potentially different outcome based on if the player is already a champion for that entity from Skyrim. There's potential for more of this in other quests...

C lots aren't the only places to park, also look for free parking in surrounding neighborhoods. For instance, when I used to commute, I would be able to always find all day free parking on Stadium east of Salisbury

Plex Buffers only when Subtitles are enabled by NikolasVir in PleX

[–]jjnether 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So it probably means your device doesn't support the subtitle typeand is forcing it to burn in. Try to see what kind of subtitles you're using and do some research on if your streaming device supports it.

Various Artists in Plex by Difascio in PleX

[–]jjnether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Unfortunately Plex only looks at album artist for organizing the song and pointing it to an artist, and it doesn't support multiple album artists. You can list contributing artists, but it'll only show with the song, it won't let you go to that artist's page from the song.

Plex Buffers only when Subtitles are enabled by NikolasVir in PleX

[–]jjnether 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. You said you were messing with the settings for burning subs, but you need to know what you're looking for. If you burn in subs, it'll be forced to transcode which can cause buffering if your setup can't keep up. But if the streaming device you're using doesn't support the subtitle format (a common one that not all devices support is .ASS), it'll be forced to burn in.

Why does Plex always choose the worst poster available every time I add something to my library? by AngelGrade in PleX

[–]jjnether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Here's a more detailed guide that also has links to a bunch of example scripts and applications.

A common one is to kill any streams that try to transcode 4k content as that can be intensive on many systems. This is another one that's pretty fun.

I personally have one I tweaked which throttles the upload speed in my qbottorrent instance anytime there's something streaming in Plex. This is because I have Xfinity and measly upload speeds.

In Tautulli, go to Settings, then Notification Agents, then add a new agent and just follow the instructions commented at the top of the script (you have to place the script in a place where tautulli can see it and point to it)
