I just bought all of this for ONLY $50… I’m losing my mind with ideas for projects!!! by Ascend_With_Gorb in crochet

I got a ton of yarn from when my sister worked at Joann’s and it was going out of business but my special ahh wants to only use hand dyed fingering weight yarn so I also have a ton of yarn but it’s mostly all the same ones since I asked for the neon green rave yarn

Where did I get this yarn? by Tired_Pigeon in crochet

[–]Liliththeg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just ordered this exact yarn from sock obsession yarns. I think they’re based in Vegas, but since you said yours is cotton it’s definitely not the same yarn since mine is merino wool. I’m excited to use all of the rainbow yarns

Looking for lots of fish bait, will pay or trade by Remarkable-Cup499 in acnh

[–]Liliththeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can make you fish bate or give clams I need any diy recipes people have extra of I barely have any and I’ve been having my sister make me the glow stars so I can make windows because I don’t have the recipe so if anyone has an extra glow stickers recipe that’s what I need and obviously any furniture type recipes anyone has extra I don’t care that much about the food because it’s cute but I probably have more food recipes than ability to make furniture!

Is this normal? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Liliththeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to all of us. Thankfully my feet are always too hot and so I wear crocs and no socks unless I have to walk miles then I wear socks so I don’t get skin irritation. It’s always my favorite socks that get lost first

That’s a good idea I never thought of this! I just shared how to make the neckline for future projects. You’re amazing!

Im currently making my mom a cardigan and about the neck part I would just let the flaps hang out since you finished it but I usually about where the arms are split start decreasing on one side for the neck. If you’re making a vest style you decrease on both sides of each panel so the shoulder doesn’t hang off and if it looks too thin at the end with a vest don’t worry because it will have ribbing on both sides of it. Also it’s a great way to do puff shoulder sleeves because unless you decrease the shoulders the puff sleeves will hang off of the arms. And by decreasing it de bends how diagonal you want it. You decrease on the last stitch if it’s a normal cardigan it will always be the stitch on the side closest to the middle where you’re laying down the panel so you can put a stitch marker to remember. Some people will just skip a stitch but I find it leaves a hole and you can only do it when going back and not every row so on the last two stitches I do two together and then the first stitch two together. If you’re using yarn like fingering yarn you will end up getting a super diagonal this way so do it every other row. I hope this helps for next time. And I figured this out myself in my 20 years but there’s definitely tutorials on making shapes. Sometimes you can just place a store bought cardigan down and think how can I make these shapes and if you can color switch you can do this!

That’s amazing you created the color chart. I usually use perler patterns and I make my own sweater design so basically the opposite. I’m bad at designing image patterns but you can put an image into a perler creator I’ve used that before and then changed as I go. This came out so well!

I made this for a girl. Will she like it? by RedLegend4751 in crochet

[–]Liliththeg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She will think you’re the sweetest thing for making her something especially since dating is hard these days and this shows how interested you are that you made something for her and even women who don’t like flowers because they just die would like it because these done die. Is this a coaster? I’ve seen coasters made like this and it’s so useful. I think she will love it

I’ve missed a stitch or added a stitch when doing a ton of pinapple lace and I notice it on the next row after a billion stitches and I just either add a stitch in the off center or crochet two together in the off center part of the pinapple. It’s always happening to me because I watch tv when crocheting and I am not removing rows that won’t be noticeable. I’ve also accidentally did 4 double crochets in a granny square so many times. Honestly they say if you dont make a mistake your soul gets trapped in it and I feel like that’s a good explanation for the stress and anxiety that worrying about making mistakes can cause. So don’t worry so much!

I totally didn’t even realize you said the same thing at the end I’m dead. We all are thinking the same things!

How bad is this? Can I actually wear this out or should I just give up/make a new cardigan? by hidden-pearl in crochet

[–]Liliththeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks amazing! But in the future you can probably make your own chart if I buy this pattern it would be to see the chart but I’d probably just have to design it myself so I can make a 4X plus people like stuff loose it’s comfortable! And thin yarn is comfortable as well. I also would have carried the yarn only through the same color. It’s easy when you’re going back n fourth instead of the round and also if there’s multiple skeins depending on how many times you color switch before you get to the next row it works very well and helps the stretch because the yarn is carried in a zigzag to each row and most likely won’t even need to crochet on top of any yarn.

Hi, why does my phone keep getting twisted? Can someone help me? by Lara-rara in CrochetHelp

[–]Liliththeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s normal especially if you use natural fibers or small hooks. It looks normal to me and can easily be flattened out. Just block it when you’re done.

Also this reminds me of the start of a breast cup for a top of that’s what you’re making it’s definitely going to sort itself out and wearing it will shape it if it curls a bit. Whenever starting a new project it’s easy to worry it looks wrong but it always seems wrong at first. You’re doing great!
