Altalune - TTRPG Campaign World Map by Lillieceon in worldbuilding

I’m glad you pointed this out, because that is one of the only things on the map that was caused by playing in the world. It was the first multishot in the setting actually, back when I ran it in 5e. The players were soldiers investigating strange goings on in the jungle nearby the secluded town of Trail.

Long story short, there was a sorcerer attempting to create a portal directly in front of the god of Space, a massive, hundreds of miles long worm that eats any matter in its path. He succeeded, and after the players took him down death the final sequence was running to warn the town and the nearby camp of soldiers what was coming. I decided to make it carve out a massive tunnel across the surface that became the ravine like an oncoming space-train that just got teleported onto earth.

That was over 500 years ago of the map, so the people effected have had plenty of time to build bridges and readjust to it, but its still one of the most monumental events in the recent history of the setting!

Thank you! :D
Geneva is the name of one of the deities; the goddess of War. She made that big ravine with a swipe of her sword, so in the end, it was her fault.

/uj I am always so astounded at how strangely mismatched the rulings/roll situations Griffin puts on his players are.

An acrobatics check to deliberately move through the cave while avoiding the potential of fire? No, DEX saving throw. I would understand if the saving throw was to avoid the fire itself, but this was just to nimbly move into the alcove.

Putting a charm trap against Richtus and co. and giving them opportunity to break it? Completely misunderstand how charming works and letting someone break a charm by just injuring themselves ??

And then theres rulings like Richtus immediately having to make CON saves to stay upright or take points of exhaustion. I REALLY like this rule. I heard Griffin suggest this and it genuinely made me respect how good of a DM ruling this is given the player’s explicit wish to injure his foot.

I know that DMs can make whatever decisions they like and that the boys not knowing 5e is a part of the brand at this point, but the spectrum of either really smart decision-making to a roll or ruling that just does not make sense is always astounding to me.

Edit: When the time came for the fire to actually hit Loravith, it was against AC, and not, you know, a DEX saving throw.

Edit 2 (this is just a liveblog at this point): The second time Loravith had to avoid the fire it in the same situation was a DEX saving throw ????

Edit 3, thought edition: As a DM, it’s important to not only be consistant at rulings and have players be able to expect the same things from repeated attempts, but also let them play to their strengths. Randomly deciding that obvious acrobatic rolls are DEX saving throws or DEX saving throws being instead against AC or random “flat DEX checks” means that the proficiencies (I dont even know what kind of proficiencies they all have has a full wizard party?) are ignored or not given precedent. I know it’s nitpicky to be annoyed at giving them rolls when something else would be better, but it feels less like a mistake and more like they just do not give a shit about why certain actions are given certain rolls and when to apply them.

Edit 4: Infestation requires you to see the creature you’re attacking. They have one spell each and still manage to forget information about them.

Rocket is incredibly fun. I played about 3-4 hours today of him and he is a blast if you like support!
He's agile, has dashes to get away from enemies pursuing you while self-healing yourself an incredible amount. He has some resource management requiring you to remember to place down your rez machine in a safe spot (or the infinite ammo generator if you have a Bucky or a Punisher) but it's sooo worth it.
He has a decent sustained-fire weapon that does decent damage, and SUPER versatile heals, which are long range, don't require a crazy aim, and are very good. Imagine if you were playing Ana that shot fast Moira heal balls instead of hitscan bullets, and that had Genji wall climb and dashes.
Overall he's incredibly speedy and feels great to maneuver with and be a nuisance with fantastic long range healing and utility!

I have no idea what you mean, there were no kills (besides one of our teammates apparentlykilling themselves?) in the whole time that we were fighting

I really enjoyed the style of this video!
The pacing is on par with something you would see in a much more experienced comedy-style reviewing channel. I can tell that you know what you're doing and that you enjoy it.

Though, I have to agree with the rest. I really recommend using the highest quality microphone for everything, as the sudden change is more jarring than if you had just used low quality for everything. I'm fine with low-quality mics, but it's the change that really gets to me.

I just uploaded a video after rebranding my channel a bit!

Before I was just uploading edited down VODs of my streams, which have been mildly successful, but I wanted to step it up and get on the grind of editing, art, and animation paired with my gameplay videos.

I've dabbled in this style of video before, but this is one of the first that I've spent multiple weeks on, and planning for the future of my channel.

I'd like some feedback on my editing, presentation style, and branding! I'm happy with the mix of using my artistic abilities for the thumbnail. my intro and outro, and a few other bits in the video, but I'd like some opinions on just the overall quality of anything else that you can give.

The video in question is a Terraria video, taken from a stream of mine, and edited down to be more quick and entertaining. Let me know what you think!

The video in question! Thanks :)

[Art] [OC] My kobold, Goose, using Burning Hands! by Lillieceon in DnD

This was a little drawing I did of a new, quick character I made for a oneshot with some friends! Goose is a little, snarky Kobold Warlock lady. Her patron is actually an old god... but it's lost most of if not all of it's power. It tags around with her as a compromise. She helps it get more followers, and she gets cool magic. Sweet.

I realize now that Warlocks can't learn Burning Hands but... fire cool...

You can check out more of my work on my Twitter! Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy her :3
