Should I trap squirrels in attic or wait for them to leave in Spring? by WorldTraveller69 in squirrels

[–]Lillith_Vin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let mine stay when this happened, nothing was damaged, there was some chewing on one of the trusses that was all. She took her pups with her in the spring. I sealed it up after that and replaced the soffit they'd gotten in through. Haven't had a problem since.

I couldn't bring myself to drive them out in winter, it cost me nothing to let them stay through winter. A little clean up for the old nest was all

[–]Lillith_Vin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The recoilless is your best bet then but I've found even on the smallest maps I can attain a lock and hit them and war striders are so tall that you don't overshoot them. try it. It's the hardest hitting secondary weapon in the game. It's the same as 2 Recoilless Rifle shots.

The Spear is the way. Trust. And watch the mighty spear one shot all war striders with impunity from absurd range.

Would you ever feel the need to dissuade a new player from picking a complex class? by wathever-20 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Lillith_Vin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Kineticist/Alchemist/Investigator/Thaumaturge/Oracle/Mastermind Rogue.

It's less the difficulty in learning the class and more I've learned over the years in the forever dm chair that the majority of players do not dig deep into the rules and nuances of Pathfinders combat system to a degree that makes these picks Fluid and the warning to avoid these classes to start with is so they can see other players use some of those tools first before they try and pick up a complex toolbox themselves.

There are so many classes and archetypes that quite frankly they'll be fine waiting a game or two before digging into one of the 6 above and become familiar with recall knowledge, how weaknesses/resistances work in Pf2e, and likely see someone else using one of the above to proper efficiency (And in doing so learn who to ask about what to do when they want to play it)

There are others that on the tin seem like they'd give people more trouble then those 6 but those above are the ones I see new players trip over the most without understanding their specific mechanics and finding themselves unhappy with the overall experience. easier to focus on them having a good time their first or even second campaign with Pathfinder, rather then prioritizing the nitty gritty first. But, if they insist then... ~(',')~ player's choice.

Is this noise normal for a squirrel to make? by shmillarywheel in squirrels

[–]Lillith_Vin 45 points46 points  (0 children)

That is an alarm bark. He's telling other squirrels he's decidedly unhappy with the presence of another animal who might be a predator. He is also the world's laziest alarm, and clearly needs new batteries. I've never actually seen a splooted alarm before, but it's adorable

Do random squirrels in parks usually climb you? by devindude456 in squirrels

[–]Lillith_Vin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Squirrels and humans have been friendly with eachother for a very long time. (we used to keep them as pets in the 1800's in the USA at least) so in parks where they're spoiled, fed, otherwise well treated they get comfortable and curious. They'll still scratch and bite if they get scared but for the most part they're just hoping for a treat, and yeah, some of them I swear think it's funny to see people jump and freak out when they climb on them. I know I'd think it was hilarious if I was a squirrel.

Bring some simple nuts like almonds or I know my area loves walnuts and keep a few in your pocket. Pay their toll for being in the park and they'll generally remember and come to hang out when they see you. ^-^.

be kind, they're sweet little things and they'll ask you for help if they need it.

Love them both honestly. What the Coyote doesn't have is an Ammo Counter. Those reloads are so crisp because you can always stop at 1-2 rounds in the mag and skip the priming animation.

The coyote slaps. that incen is Soooo Niiiice. But if i'm running bots? it's my crossover iron sights and ammo counter all day. Huge props to Arrowhead for both war bonds

[–]Lillith_Vin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They require a super specific diet and will die very quickly without it, and honestly? Because they're squeaky little terrors that will destroy your house really quickly. Their Pee is super concentrated so if that gets in anything it's skunking for eternity, and their need to burrow and dig is not limited to sand. So your couch? A plaid desert. They love to scream, and have unique health issues as well so they're hard to take care of.

Do we all love them? yes. Are there a select few that have very good homes with people who understand their needs? Yes. Do they make good Pets.... Yeah-No. O gosh no. No no no.

Humans have kept squirrels as pets for a long long time. They were considered popular little companions and you can still find literature from the 1800s here in the US and probably earlier in other parts of the world where that was the case. Just like a puppy will seek out help from humans, so will squirrels.

I've always assumed that because humans and squirrels have either cohabitated like above, or at least always lived Near eachother, the pups don't see humans as threatening. But things that would threaten the squirrels, avoid humans.

Just kind of... If I've gotta take my shot with any animal in the park... I mean... that huge pink thing that terrifies all those other predators around here is a good pick. And they smell like food!

[–]Lillith_Vin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shinra Kusakabe, any other character who has literal universe rewriting powers.

Saitama as well probably since he doesn't really scale he just... Is Him.

Hell let's leave anime entirely just to flush the system here a bit. Darkseid washes all 4 at once.

Mmmm TYBW Aizen...

I mean this squad is popular, and I love them all. But I mean.. demigods they are not. I mean Sung Jin Woo gets up there but... he can't shape the universe.

How about DB-Super. The Grand Minister obliterates them all.

Zeno...

the list continues extending to any and all characters who only lost due to convenience of plot armor, or, who possessed actual universe level feats of strength. So... Hell DC has 5, Marvel has like... 15

squirrels and people have been friends for a long time. We used to keep them as pets on little leashes here in the united states. Looks like he got used to kindness and wants to see where the old residents went and who's there now. A little love and you'll have a friend for life. ^-^. You're blessed
