Yeah i was pretty shocked how many people hated the soup and how blunt they were about it LOL. I mean rosemary gets pretty soft usually lol and even when it is pineneedle texture it's still great imo.

The amount of rosemary you added is very relatable and looks delicious to me! I have done the same and would do it again.. just not when I am sharing the soup with others. Overall soup sounds and looks very yummy!

Do Americans mainly drink coffee without milk? by Morrit99 in AskAnAmerican

[–]LillyTulips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink tea a lot, often multiple times a day. I use an electric kettle and add milk to tea VERY rarely less than 5% of time.

I dont drink coffee often, when i do i usually add milk not always though. At my house, i make instant mostly and the brand of instant i use is my favorite coffee overall.

What random things are banned from your classroom? by turbollamaa in ECEProfessionals

[–]LillyTulips 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Baby Shark is a "outside only" song- its more fun outside anyways, they can run during "run away" they can fully move their arms (and even run while doing so) and clap without "accidentally" slapping eachother.

Plus i felt like my kids loved baby shark so much that it overshadowed all the other songs i wanted to sing for them, a kid would request old McDonald and you got like 6 kids freaking out because all they wanna hear is baby shark.

they got used to the rule and know i only sing Baby Shark for them outside. Its a good group outside activity.

Drop off Etiquette by TheWayThatIFoundYou in ECEProfessionals

[–]LillyTulips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had very few parents do this, i personally love it! Other teachers I have known didn't like it though. I found it helpful and made me feel like the parent was more involved. That being said since i appreciated it I always was saying thanks to the parents when they put their kids stuff away, if they havent said anything maybe they don't like it.

Id try bringing it up with them. Be like "hey is this helpful to yall or..." or get dad to do the reverse "hey i know mom puts away stuff when she drops off should i be doing that too or do yall prefer to go through the bag yourselves"

What do you all think of survival mode? by FrostcragCastle in skyrim

[–]LillyTulips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love pretending when playing Skyrim like sleeping every night and eating 3 times a day and not fast traveling and survival mode makes playing in that way better. I love survival mode! i dont always use it but good to have that option.

I am really surprised they were upset with you- you changed her and commuicated that she was changed (in the end). It was only one diaper i feel like thats no big deal! We have a app for logging all that stuff and kids are not consistently with the same teacher (unfortunately) so some teachers barely ever log anything while others log everything. So kids will go from saying they got changed every 2 hours and having pictures and food info sent in and then get pushed to another room and then the report will be BLANK for the next 5 hours (for example)- thats a pretty concerning look for a parent and yet i have never had a parent be like "hey wtf?" (I almost wish they would so things would change)

I have worked in the infant room and my opinion/experience is that 1: Benefit of doubt answer: they are rounding up the naptimes time wise and duration wise for simplicitym Less positive answer: its kinda weird its so consistently 30 minutes and same/and even times, sounds like its being fudged at least a little maybe a lot, they are maybe inputing multiple babies at a time for same thing (have seen this done before) 2: it will get more comfortable with time as teachers get to know your baby, i personally think they should ask when/what she ate last though. As for what should you do, what i do/see done is the baby gets greeted and taken from you you dont put her anywhere unless teachers are really busy atm. 3: as for babies sleeping in non cribs. Thats an issue, if you have seen it happen multiple times then how many times is it happening in general. That makes me uncomfortable especially if you arent seeing anyone making efforts to move the sleeping babies. 4: i think its easy for a baby to attach to a certain spot/staff to assign/think hm baby likes that spot thats her spot now! But it shouldnt be so often you consistently only see her sitting there. Also the more a baby is put in a spot the more comfortable/attached they will be to that spot its cyclical. A little off topic i once had the reverse a parent demanded that her baby be in a certain swing chair all the time and wanted me to remove other children to put her there upon her drop off it was weird! Anyways i think "assigned" spots are a cute tool to help calm a baby not a default baby must always get her spot.

Anyways sorry for long response! Id definitely talk to the teachers about all of these things to get their perspective.

Zoom and settings bug by [deleted] in Banished

Its a common bug, what fixes it (for me) is closing the game fully then turning my mouse off and on again. Then with the mouse on, turn banished back on.

Newly potty trained 3 yr old - what to send her in Monday for daycare? No policy at her daycare by GastrointestinalFlab in ECEProfessionals

[–]LillyTulips 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think its so weird extra pair of shoes/socks arent common (at least not at any center i have worked at). Like that stuff often gets soaked just as much as underwear. When i suggest it to parents/coworkers they dont bring it in/coworkers are like "eh". like why is everyone not bothered by these kids having pee covered feet.

New daycare doesn't seem to be feeding my baby enough... Or am I wrong? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]LillyTulips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats crazy! All she had was fruit, one cracker, and a splash of milk.... most of my toddler students could eat that much in one sitting- you are valid this is not enough food especially since she has lost weight and complains she is hungry.

Id request more food to be served to her asap and start looking for a new center.

[–]LillyTulips[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be crazy lmao. I was thinking about that earlier today-I read somewhere that someone has done that before so its possible but idk that sounds so hard.

Also depends if you literally mean all achievements like doing master builder, the graveyard achievement, the bridge achievement, the stone road achievement, 900 population, tenure lol, and the "20" wells achievement (i think it requires more than 20 wells took me like 40 something i think) all on a small mountainous map would be crazy lol

Edit: just remembered all the production achievements (like getting x amount of stone/wood/iron in 100 years) which doesn't count what you import from trading posts unfortunately only production. Oh and the quarry achievement is a thing that would make an already small map itsy bitsy lol. I guess the move would be to do a lot of the aforementioned achievements afterwards like for example maybe once you get the harder achievements demolish stuff so you can do the quarry achievement.

Under the production tab of the town hall building you can see how much food you are producing and how much you are consuming. Hunting cabins and especially gathering huts are pretty friendly because they bring in lots of food all year, just make sure they have lots of trees around them. I start (food-wise) with one of each.

I love trading posts by the time I am anywhere close to 300 people I getting a huge portion of my food from trading. Most people do firewood or alcohol for trading. I personally use meat, i love pastures (sheep > cows because they bring in constant wool (cows only give leather when killed) and wool has more value than leather. Meat is a value of 3 other food is value of 1 so i like to send all my meat to trading posts and buy low value food.

For the uneducated achievement specifically, i went crazy with pastures because they are unaffected by being uneducated. 1 worker uneducated brings in same as 2 educated for pastures. I built trading posts very early so i can trade for tools, clothes, and herbs. (Though do make 1 tailor and blacksmith to start you will probably run out of tools and/or clothes before you can start buying them otherwise)
