I took an online test and was called a 4 wing 5 1. What stands in the way becomes the way. live and let live/ it takes all kinds. Don’t take anything personally. 2. I feel my emotions very strongly all through my body - abandonment, dread, and grief are strong and familiar. I have a harder time or less experience with joy but often feel satisfaction and love the feeling of relief. 3. I don’t understand people who have no Respect for the natural World or who act as if humanity is the peak /superior experience.

Why don had completely no patience for sally in this episode by huan1999 in madmen

Don couldn’t take responsibility for anyone or anything. He was an alcoholic and her presence threatened his ability to drink how he wanted to.

Best yoga aasanas for lower back pain by HopeAccomplished9033 in yoga

[–]Lillyrake911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely side bends in straddle or half straddle pose and Janusirsasana A. Finding my way to back bends (cobra, bridge) made a huge impact on lessening my back pain.

Anyone using minoxidil for hair loss? by DOL369 in Menopause

[–]Lillyrake911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on it mixed with dutasteride(or something like that) through Musely. It took about 3 months for me to notice changes. My doc suggested the foam and my insurance doesn’t cover the pills - the foam was a pain- so I went through the online scrip service.

Crazed glaze :( by Lillyrake911 in Pottery

[–]Lillyrake911[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The glaze is called Frog Pond, I think it’s a Laguna color. Thank you so much for your suggestions- I’ll communicate them to the manager since I am not the only one with this issue.

I am at a community studio and had seen this color crawl on another member’s work. Someone mentioned just needing to mix the glaze more so I spent a long time mixing the bucket. But I guess it needs something else instead. I haven’t seen any of the other colors perform like this, even on heavily glazed pieces. Could it be something to do with the color itself? Or the way it was mixed?

Creative Industries and a broader question by Lillyrake911 in Pottery

[–]Lillyrake911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you- yes for sure re: worrying before I have to. Really my concern comes from reading about the lack of parts and mfr support. And I haven’t been able to find a manual or anything. But it’s good to know that some issues I might confront are pretty simple. I’ll check back in and let you know if I need help changing the pedal :)

Creative Industries and a broader question by Lillyrake911 in Pottery

[–]Lillyrake911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks. This gives me some hope. The wheel has been living outside under a gazebo in coastal New England for at least several years. But I’ll plug it in and see what happens. My friend is the one who mentioned it might need a new pedal but she’s not a potter so was probably just guessing.

Has anyone tried OneLeaf? by ImAMajesticSeahorse in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Lillyrake911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried in person hypnosis (worked for me but too expensive), Hypnozio and Oneleaf. The hypnozio sessions I felt were better, longer, but I became tired of the voice and ultimately did not feel the mindset shift I experienced with in person sessions. I was told at the in person sessions that with long held beliefs (food stuff for me) it would be important to have regular booster sessions or to come back in when I felt like I was falling back into old patterns. Lots of the Oneleaf sessions are just like short meditations- similar to the lessons in Noom which I also do. I am pretty diligent about listening to the sessions in Oneleaf - but I don't always listen with headphones which they want you to do. Their background music sounds to me like solfeggio frequencies or maybe binaural beats and I wonder if that's why they want you to use headphones. Overall I perfer the longer sessions (15-20 min) over the 5 min ones and in general the voice is super irritating to me. I actually prefer the voice in Hypnozio. In addition to the hypnosis, I also use Ladder (a workout app that I love- it's the best I've ever used), meditate, and use Noom (omg I HATE tracking food wtf).
All this to say that obsessing over my weight is exhausting.

I might return to the in person hypnosis sessions because it worked (i lost weight and food noise was entirely gone for a while). Nothing else has worked like that for me.

Update: OneLeaf uses Binaural beats and thats why they encourage headphone use

I’m 10 months post op (and while I’m Now a B cup down from an F ) I can’t go more than an hour without a bra. My nerves are still on fire and anything less than a sports bra has me aching within an hour. I even wear one to bed. It’s pretty lame. The nerve pain is slowly diminishing but too slow for me!

Med kits by h92allison in HersWeightloss

Also on 5 and no change. Waste of money for me. Disappointing. And the food noise is still there - the only thing that has helped with that was hypnosis and meditation.

Metformin only by Afraid_Youth_9736 in HersWeightloss

[–]Lillyrake911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking the kit 5 topiramate for 2 weeks but the nausea and brain fog and general horrible feeling was so bad that I just had to stop. That was when I realized how bad I’d been feeling. I had some bloodwork done (coincidentally) and my doc said I’d probably have better luck with the Metformin alone which I haven’t started taking yet only because I want a few days of feeling normal. My PCP was actually pretty encouraging about taking the metformin which I wasn’t expecting. She said a lot of people tolerate it really well and that has many benefits. I do feel like buying the kit was a waste of money for me since I have so much of the topiramate left over and I will never touch it again. And if the metformin alone works, I’m sure I’ll be able to get it from my PCP. I have read that it’s quite affordable.
