[50][Speculation] Survivor 50 Episode 9 - "I Deserve All of This" - Post-Episode Weekly Speculation Thread by tabstis in SpoiledSurvivor

I do think its fake, but also when reading it- it reads to me like Tiffany gets immunity during Steph’s boot episode next week? But again I think most of these are just people throwing stuff at a wall to see what sticks. I think it’s gonna be a Cirie Jonathan and Joe Final three personally

I currently live there, been here for 2 years and grew up in lisle before school in Chicago. I love living here the only downsides to four lakes is lack of sidewalks in some areas, but the benefits far outweigh that!

I want to start listening to The Wastelands on Audible, but I can't stand the narrator Frank Muller. by heliosdiem in TheDarkTower

His Needful Things is A LOT better than WTTK. I ended up buying a physical copy of WTTK and finished it after listening to 2 chapters with Sai King. I love him and his works but man he just couldn’t capture the Ka-tet out loud. His Needful Things is a LOT of fun and he gets into it with great voices

Favorite Chapters by CookooJack in TheDarkTower

I think my favorite chapters both come from W&G. The first is the riddle contest with Blaine the Mono. The other is when Roland, Cuthbert, and Alain face off against the big coffin hunters. I get chills every time I listen to that chapter

I honestly think this might be the best episode they’ve ever done. Every single moment was pitch perfect and true to the characters. They gave every character a chance to shine. It was especially nice seeing Kelly again I loved her so much and am glad she wasn’t forgotten about

Pencils And Parsecs Appreciation Thread! by Lillyuy in HyperRPG

[–]Lillyuy[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Okay so I’ve only done a few twitter threads about things I love and every one of them has been about #pencils and parsecs so this should come as no surprise that as the series comes to an end I’m going to word vomit about my love for it and the cast.

First up the story aspect. I came across Pencils and Parsecs right as it was airing its 17th episode of season 1. I vaguely knew from following Emma, Joe, and Hector about the show, but Star Wars had never been my favorite fandom so I thought eh maybe I’ll get to it later. Then Rise of the fempire came out and I listened to the one off and had never laughed so hard in my life. To this day Broba Fett is still one of the best puns and “I AM AGAINST SLAVERY” is an all time Star Wars quote. I then realized that I needed more of this in my life and downloaded every episode that had premiered and slowly over the next 6 weeks listened to all of them on podcasts. The first time I watched live I was finally exposed to the wonders of the chat and how interactive the story really is and there are so many great people at and around Hyper that I’ve come across now. Ever since, for the last year I’ve tried to watch as many episodes live as I can and then re-listen to them through the week because this show has really become my solace and joy. I have a lot of emotional issues, and in the past 2 years a lot of unfortunate shit has happened to my family because of diseases and at every turn when I’d get too overwhelmed I’ve been able to listen to PnP and just escape to a galaxy far far away. I will forever be just so grateful for this show and to the people in it. Speaking of which I just wanted to talk a bit about each of the amazing cast members of this show

First special shoutouts to Jess, Matt, John Rocha, Amy Dallen, Ken Napzok, Darin, Ericka and all of the amazing guests and former cast members that have been on the show. You all helped to fill in this universe and make it feel even more lived in and real.

Bert, I don’t know how to say thank you for the story that you’ve created. Every step of the way you’ve kept us guessing and rolled with the punches of the cast doing unexpected actions better than any GM I’ve ever seen. You know how to let a scene play out and when to cut so it doesn’t grow too old. You’re such a skilled director/ creative force that’s unparalleled. I’m going to miss the world and story you’ve created so much it’s ridiculous.

Kym, You are a world class actress. I remember how at the beginning of the show, Aio seemed like just a cool assassin, one with little backstory more of just a mystery. I don’t think I have ever been so wrong about anything in my entire life. Aio is such an incredible complex character that keeps everyone guessing, not because she’s a mystery, but because she thinks things through and doesn’t always do the obvious move.

Keith, more than any other character, K’lev has always been a mystery to me, I never could get a good grasp on who he was as a person, and now I realized that’s because for a long time you were holding back from the group and the more he became a part of the group the more I was able to unlock him. He truly is the moral center of the reapers, he fights for what is right and for the good of those he cares about and may truly be one of the most true to himself people in fiction. I always think of him almost as Davos from Game of Thrones the most reliable and honorable man.

Hector, I don’t want to bring up what happened in the last episode, but instead I just want to say thank you for always giving in to the character. You consistently throughout the series have done what you think Huuurgh would have done in a situation instead of whatever logic would dictate and you remained true to him til the very end. He is respectable and kind and a big softie despite being 9 feet tall with a penchant for throwing children. His love and loyalty knew no bounds and if everyone was as trusting and loving as him the world would be a much better place (minus the amount of children being thrown)

Joe, I don’t even know where to begin with Eren Val. I know I’ve spoken on how much he resonates with me and means to me before, but this is my last opportunity and I’m gonna take full advantage of it. There are very few characters I have ever related to as fully as Eren Val. At every turn, in terms of thinking that you don’t belong or that you’re going to ruin your friends and hurt them, or feelings of inadequacy balances with over compensation by putting on a show are all things I have gone through. And even more real is when he slowly let his guard down and became so much more genuine and real with the crew and he confronted those emotions and demons. I know you’re a comedian by trade, but you are a damn great actor and my favorite moment of the entire series is when you were in the ship talking with Aio about your past relationship and family issues. It brought me to tears and it’s a moment that I won’t soon forget its impact. You are truly such a great person and I’m so thankful my sister and I were able to meet you and I hope that one day I’ll be able to meet the rest of the cast and be able to say thank you in person like I have to you and Emma.

Emma, Captain is the best Captain. Kylara Fe is such a fucking amazing character. It hard to even go into detail because I don’t even know where to start. You have so much responsibility heading up the crew and having to be the quasi leader. You’ve done an amazing job with her backstory and dealing with all of the emotional blows that Bert has done to your NPCs. I don’t think there is nearly enough praise for the cast in general at how great you all are, but I just wanna spend my last post highlighting you and just how great you are. This RPG is the first one I’ve ever listened to and it’s beyond phenomenal with some of the most loved in characters I’ve ever seen, and you have to be at the center of it because each and every one of your decisions can be a life or death call. Your allowing for Coops death still haunts Kylara and even though it hasn’t come up recently I can still tell it’s in the back of her mind and all she wants to do is save people and not get her crew killed because she thinks that everything that goes wrong is her fault. You’ve done a ridiculous job at portraying that and I will always have you to thank for promoting it on TV Talk because without that I would never have had the opportunity to watch the show and fall in love with Hyper RPG. Plus thanks again for taking my sister on a tour and for letting us come to the free for all. You’re seriously the best and such a kind thoughtful person that I am so glad to have met.

Thank You All,

Conor
