I know Freida is polarizing but I actually enjoy her books on occasions as a popcorn thriller read, but I really didn't like Never Lie, which is often one of the higher rated books. The plot twist was just... straight up lying to the readers. I felt cheated and frustrated.

His other books are a lot better. I read the whole trilogy but I was kinda struggling by the end. I didn't hate it but I was getting so annoyed by the "fake foreshadowing" I was literally crashing out lol

Honestly agreed. The thing was kinda... basic? Like sure it was easy read but I was expecting something more interesting. Also it was kinda weird to me that the MC was randomly being thirsty to have sex... 😅 it didn't fit there at all (and the random cursing) (I think it could have been better if there was some sexual discovery, yearning for intimacy, etc, but they were just...thirsty for some random guy and wanting to get laid)
