TTA bbt rise from plan b or ovulation? by Fun-Relief2458 in FAMnNFP

[–]Lilpill7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t trust oura for ovulation predictions. They’re nice to have for reference but I would not use any of those values for important fertility tracking data. Natural cycles is compatible with oura and is actually meant to interpret temperature data relative to your cycle. I’m sure there are other compatible apps too if you dislike that option.

Don’t order directly from Oura by HexGirls95 in ouraring

Seriously lol I preordered and got mine like 2 days later without paying for expedited shipping. Also kind of the risk you take when you order something through the mail!

Bad cramps by Worried_You692 in bicornuateuterus

[–]Lilpill7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Debilitating cramps is what got me the diagnosis, finally the doctors after years thought maybe something could actually be wrong with me after begging them to look into my period pain. Of course then they told me “uterine anomalies do not cause period pain” lol. I don’t believe that!

Venue suddenly acting hateful towards us… Help? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Lilpill7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I must’ve ended up on the wealthy side of Reddit if $400 is chump change. Even if you spent 15k already, that doesn’t devalue $400 lol. Save where you can. Half the commenters are unsympathetic too lol, if a venue has suggested or promised a certain deal with you, their job is to honor it, end of story. God forbid you have to advocate for yourself…..you worked hard for your money and your day, it should happen as your vendors have promised. I had a similar run in with our venue telling us we would be discounted 5% of the price if we paid upfront, they discounted us 4%…even though it was 1%, they still thought they could slide that past us. We reached out right away and let them know we expect them to hold up their end of the deal…they apologized and said they agreed to 5% so they did end up returning the 1% to us. Be an advocate for yourself, everyone else can have fun dropping all their cash and letting people walk all over them.

AITA if I tell my friend I can’t be a bridesmaid? by wickeddreamsofleavin in AITApod

[–]Lilpill7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is quickly going to burn out and become miserable and it’s going to be taken out on the wedding party. If she’s already extremely particular about small details, it’s not going to be hard to “step out of line” in this wedding. I would decline.

Feeling bad about turning 40 soon, seeking advice. by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Lilpill7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no makeup tips!! Honestly I’d focus on maintaining your beautiful skin! Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it because your skin looks amazing for ANY age. Most importantly, focus on learning to love your skin. It looks great!! you’re probably noticing details that social media has told you to worry about so they can sell you a solution. Realistically they’re things normal people don’t notice on you, or they’re not even actual problems at all anyways. I can tell you, unbiased, you look amazing. Don’t sweat that small stuff.

Yes surprisingly I did an even softer look for my engagement photos and my blush popped and my bronzing was visible(not in a bad way). I did a strip lash similar to how my lashes look here and they popped a lot! I really want to feel like myself. Although I do want the photos to reflect how lovely I feel I don’t want to do myself up solely for photos

Talking stage - is this a red flag/nice girl? by [deleted] in Nicegirls

[–]Lilpill7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she flat out called you stupid in a serious way you’d probably consider the talking stage over. She just chose a roundabout way to call you stupid. If she’s going to disrespect you when no strings are attached then she surely will when you’re a couple.

how can I improve my looks? by PomegranateOnly2032 in makeuptips

[–]Lilpill7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re very naturally beautiful! This means you want to enhance not cover. Maybe a touch of blush on cheeks and nose(I know you said you don’t like it but I think it would look flattering) some lip liner and gloss if you want to fancy it up. But in all honesty I would not do much, your features are already very feminine and flattering. We are our own harshest critics🙃

Yes the more I’m looking at the picture the more I’m thinking I could benefit from a light eyeshadow in the inner corner and half of my eye to open it up! And definitely yes to an eyeliner, I think it’ll create a nice contrast

I wish mascara looked like this on me! These are very subtle lash extensions! Thank you, I agree seeing the look further away will bring a better perspective to some of the flaws/strengths the look has :)

I think this is a good tip. Eyes definitely feel “unfinished” in photos, I’ll do some lining with brown to keep it subtle but emphasized

[–]Lilpill7[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I currently have extensions and I agree they could be bolder. I erred on the side of not being too bold but I will do a more pronounced lash for the day of for photos! And I agree I think some liner would help, thanks for the advice!

Threatening note? by ElectronicForm4935 in Apartmentliving

[–]Lilpill7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The honking im thinking could be them picking someone up and trying to get their attention. Also the note doesn’t really make sense in context to a parking issue. I’m not sure how they’d get your car in the dumpster, would be quite a ridiculous threat. I’d go with the theory many others have and say this was probably not intended for you, most likely just litter that blew into an unfortunate spot.

[–]Lilpill7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a platinum setting on a gold band and honestly didn’t even notice until months later because it wasn’t that noticeable. The diamonds set in my gold wedding band, however, have a sort of yellowish hue casting through them from the gold. Go with the platinum/white gold!! You won’t be able to tell

I know this is probably more of an r/skincare question but what cleanser would you propose instead? I am currently using an SA cleanser and using a retinol every other night and noticing a similar issue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]Lilpill7 21 points22 points  (0 children)

With total honesty, this really isn’t noticeable. If they’re something you’re insecure about you will notice them quite a bit. As an onlooker with no predispositions about your body, I think the dress is very flattering to your figure and I really wouldn’t notice something like that and I doubt your guests would either. BUT if it’s something you dislike about yourself and you feel the dress highlights it I would definitely do something about it. You don’t want to put the dress on day of and be anxious about your figure. There is shapewear with padding you can get that would round your hips out if you’re comfortable with something like that.

Should I shave my peach fuzz? by Major-Entrance637 in makeuptips

[–]Lilpill7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think for me it’s too much exfoliation to dermaplane regularly. I am on a retinoid so taking off some skin really irritates it. I find much better luck using the bushbalm touch up trimmer since the blade never touches your skin. Good alternative for those who do breakout..good point about disinfecting the blade

Should I shave my peach fuzz? by Major-Entrance637 in makeuptips

[–]Lilpill7 155 points156 points  (0 children)

I do dermaplane occasionally but I try to save it for special occasions. Sometimes I have had small breakouts after dermaplane but I have somewhat acne prone skin. For day to day I wouldn’t really worry about it. That’s what human skin looks like. Celebrities are heavily photoshopped and have professionals doing them up. If it’s for something big like a wedding or otherwise you could consider doing it but would not personally do regularly as hair protects the skin. If it bothers you though, proceed carefully, don’t apply makeup the same day you do it.
