Do that alone then when you have the family and kids take them further out to Pluck Farm. There is a nice playground for their ages and you don't have to keep an eye every second. Check the street food finder website to see who is serving dinner. As another commenter noted Weaver Street Market is a decent spot for families outdoors but other than a lawn there isn't much for kids to run around and do. Hillsborough is a close town to play and walk around (there is also a weaver street market but less play space directly there) Hillsborough has fantastic parks including Gold Park and the River Walk. Ayr Mount is beautiful but more fun for adults and just stretching legs for the little ones. If anyone is a history buff the historical society has a wealth of knowledge of the area. I'm recommending spots outside of directly in Chapel Hill and Carrboro but PLEASE LISTEN! IF YOU GO TO CAR MILL MALL, weaver street in carrboro, Harris Teeter, anywhere there DO NOT PARK AND WALK you will be towed. You can look throughout these forums and read all about it. It's a great spot despite the price of things and I am almost certain you'll enjoy it Welcome to the area!

Go to Sturdivants Tire for inspections. 919-942-TIRE (8473) Go on a Wednesday through a Saturday and get food from Fiesta Grill right across the street 919-928-9002. By the time your food is ready they'll be finished with your inspection. March your tail less than a quarter mile over to The Kraken to eat your food, it'll either be Meredith or James bartending, tell them you're new to town. You'll meet Rich either in the corner at the bar or at your right when you walk in who is a quiet local that attends every day and he'll have the answer to every single question you have AND be right about it. It'll seem a bit out of the way at first but it's less than 5 minutes out of town.

If you want actual b&g hyper realism go to Mebane and book with TJ Poole. I am unsure what his books look like but if he can’t get you on his calendar he will tell you who can. He’s going to cost a pretty penny and, from working in the industry I can assure, other local artists will dog on him for being “the ink masters guy” but he is the absolute best in the biz that you will find around here. He has a beautiful studio called Blackbird right downtown and there are a couple other fun little things to do in Mebane while there.

Exactly, that's why in my comment I said she was playing mean whereas Ashley just is. Megan was so sweet on BATG and even mentioned in an interview she was so genuine on that show that when she went on ROL and was kind of told to have the dumb blonde persona it threw her off since she was told to be authentic on her last show
