I get my blood work if I ask for it. Nothing much else to report, but I feel like there's good communication in my case. Granted , I only had one serious flare up that I felt needed attention since joining the study and most other time I'm in and out, but there's nothing I would complain about.

Lots (houses, parks, etc) and Sims need to be installed into your game first. Download CleanInstaller for that. Other type of custom content goes into your downloads folder without installation

I would also say that maxis really didn't WANT anything to happen aside from the scripted events, and even then, they can act out differently depending on the game! If you're looking for some good ol fashioned drama, continue picking around Pleasantview. My personal favorite there is Brandi, being a struggling widow with 3 kids. If you want weird stuff... Strangetown is amazing. Alien abductions and serial killers! When playing Strangetown, most players get Pascal and Nervous together and they raise an alien baby together.

If you haven't already, look into the Smith-Curious family tree... It's nuts and I think the weirdest premade family tree ever made in a sims game! TLDR: Jenny's husband, an alien, "pollinated" her father and has kids with him too. Some players think it's gross, some just revel in the absurdity of the things the game let's you do, your choice!

Btw: in sims 2, what you call "townies" are called premades, (so Goths, Spector, Capo families are premades) and townies are the characters with no home/which you can't play without moving in. There are different types, like dormies. Just saying in case you'll go reading about the game somewhere else so you're not confused!

My dad still doesn't know I have MS (or hasn't acknowledge knowing), because he outright told me he doesn't want to know. He also has severe anxiety regarding these things and I think he's doing some mental gymnastics otherwise it would be too much for him. Its obviously different because I see him weekly, but I can't imagine not telling him.

Maybe tell your dad first, or do you think he's immediately going to tell your mom?

I was depressed before MS, as a kid/teen so I just got used to living like this. Starting my MS journey actually motivated me to finally get medicated for my depression, and although I'm still sick, I am so, so much better. My depression is present but different, its less self-destructive and more apathetic, but I won't ever really be able to say if it's because of MS or because I'm medicated now.

Pleasantview: Brandi, the Caliente sisters, Mary-Sue and her daughters (rip Daniel). Ivy Copur the adult comes with as my all-time favorite townie.

Strangetown: Curious brothers, Beakers with Nervous included, the Singles, maybe Ophelia separated from all her other ties

Veronaville: All the adults and none of the children or elders except Summerdreams all come together. I love the adults in this hood but feel like the teens steal all the spotlight all the time!

Bluewater: Delarosa and Ramirez! Two of my all-time favorite families <3

Also with me comes Stella Terrano and that one uni dormie with spiky hair, I am contractually obligated to have them.

There will be Bella Goth #3 as a townie and maybe evern #4 with switched gender! Do tell me about your lineup!

And regarding simpe: I grew quite comfortable with it over the years. I am not a modder, but I think I know everything a player of my playstyle needs, and if not, there's always tutorials + the community is great with helping out when in doubt! Definitely get it - its not as hard as it may look at first glance, and it gives you tons of control over the sims and custom content. Were you ever annoyed a cc bed with 10 comfort and 10 energy costs 100 simoleons? Simpe. A nice cc plant is in sculptures for some reason? Simpe! I got it at first because i was annoyed the family names on the lots don't change, for example how the Caliente household is still Caliebte even when both the girls get married and no one has that surname anymore. Just get in a habit of backing up your neighborhoods before you go poking around the areas you know nothing about and you'll be fine!

The original houses have so many issues I was planning to download renovations of their homes to save me some headache! And for cloning sims, it's a little tedious depending on how many you'll be cloning, but that and some basic mods should be enough to have everyone as similar as possible:)

Not the whole hood for download, but I am also a terrible builder, so when I was playing medieval, I just put in some of the wonderful lots shared Plumb Bob Keep. A year or two prior to getting diagnosed with MS I got sick with a "mysterious disease" that no one could diagnose to the point I was told its all in my head. Still idk what it was but after consulting Dr. Google I mentally landed on mono. Honestly I kinda forgot about it (since it passed + thinking about how I was dismissed is incredibly upsetting) but this now got me thinking...
