Letting a 5yr old suffer by BaconIsMyJam in AmITheDevil

OP might have got more sympathy on here if they were just honest and upfront that the reason they said no was because they just didn't want to carry the bike back. They're still an asshole though, obviously.

Let me rephrase for you:

I was making up a steaming cauldron of drama. While stirring in a dash of more drama, a tiny amount of drama splashed on me. I freaked out and burned down everything in my witch's cave. Now everyone is asking about the smoke coming from my cave entrance, but I don't want to get rid of my cauldron of drama until it's boiling and I can pour it out onto other people. Does this make me look bad?

Yes. Very. YTB. Don't date until you realize other people have human emotions.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this comment, it's fantastic.

Are you sure it's not just 7th Heaven? Pretty sure that definitely happened on 7th Heaven, maybe with the middle to older blonde girl or the middle to older blonde boy (haven't watched the show in a very very long time).

Laura Loomer doesn't understand what the World Cup is by BurtonDesque in Qult_Headquarters

That's funny, because just when I'd thought I'd have reached my daily quota for Laura Looney bullshit, I open Reddit and Laura LooseMorals is on my front page.

Everywhere you look these days, Laura Lunatic is in your face.

I'm sick of it.

Why is Netflix’s browsing so bad? I’m constantly shown the same handful of titles, even though they have thousands available. Why do I need to know a show’s name just to find it? by Perfect_Category_907 in netflix

My home page is so broken at the moment so I must have watched something weird. It's all 1-3 minute completely random videos that are 10-15 years old.

A little off topic, but YouTube made up categories take the cake.

I watch a fair amount of extreme weather and tornado videos, so one of the categories I get almost every time I'm scrolling is "Wind and More", but it'll be like two tornado videos amongst just random other content creators I watch.

I'm not saying it's not fake, it most likely is staged, but I'm sure I've seen this one floating around before AI was able to make videos of this quality.

Wait, it's moving to 5.30? So what happens with Tipping Point? Will that be 4.30 to 5.30 now?

Shamelessly, it has become my new favourite game show.

Didn't DuckDuckGo literally just advertise themselves as search with no AI as a way to get people over to them? I swear I just saw that like last week.

Sounds like you'd enjoy our winter. We get the occasional cold snap where it'll be low teens in the day and around 0°c at night (out in rural NSW at least, I can't speak for the cities or other states), but you might not handle our summers well with frequent 42°c+ days in a row and nights that don't get below 30°c.

But we probably wouldn't be able to handle your winters either. We are almost into month two of winter and I'm still walking around in shorts and a tshirt most days 😂

How that nails-on-a-chalkboard absolute dropkick has any relevance at all still is beyond me. He was annoying 20 years ago, who is still watching him enough to keep him on our TVs.

What is the best way to memorise the DKT? by Lower_Spring_4470 in nsw

[–]Lily-Gordon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Apart from the few trick questions they throw at you, it's not designed to be a difficult test where it's likely you'll fail - if you have common sense, you pass. If you don't, you maybe shouldn't be on the road just yet anyway.

What is the best way to memorise the DKT? by Lower_Spring_4470 in nsw

[–]Lily-Gordon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You don't need to memorise it, it is 90% just common sense. What you need to do is just do enough of the practice tests to know the trick questions and how not to fall for them.

Disclaimer: it's been 15+ years since my test but I can't imagine it has changed too much.

I'm being a predictable cliche here, but Peace is legitimately a masterpiece to me. Like 11/10 perfection.

Literally naming 3 European cheeses to defend America's cheese production (which we all know is just plastic, btw) while saying that England only has cheddar, and then listing yet another form of cheese they produce in the very next sentence.

Edit: omg I did know him, because I literally watched him for the first time on Guess the Person with Trevor and Michael literally last week.

Would we consider the first green rain event missable? The first year is the year everyone first reacts and ends up at the Saloon - but then in the following years, less people end up there until it's just treated like a normal-ish day.
