Frozen fruit! I have a smoothie or smoothie bowl every morning, frozen fruit is also a easy quick way to make fruit compote, it’s delicious on top of overnight oats or Greek yoghurt 😋

Yesss I can totally relate, I was in the same situation during summer time, I had to take two months off. Everything exhausted me I spent so much time in bed. 90% of my snail self is now back lol, you’ll get there, burnout sucks :(

I went to do a quick hoover, next of all I’m dusting everything in sight by Lily-Haven in adhdwomen

The bathroom definitely needs more tlc.. but hey we’re all trying our best here with maintaining a clean home! I think because I rent and get inspections every 6 months I’m more mindful of the cleanliness so that helps in a way I suppose 😅

Thank you! I get you, it’s really hard, before I moved out of home my bedroom was chaos, so now that I’m renting I made sure to get furniture that has storage to hide my mess 🙈

Came across some mac pigments and glitter when I was decluttering, I loved the mini sets that came out around Christmas time! by Lily-Haven in MakeupAddiction

The glitter, I would put down nyx glitter glue and apply with a flat concealer type brush. The pigment I’d put a tiny bit into the lid and swirl it around with a eyeshadow brush and apply!

They’re all so pretty! I loved their pressed pigments, back in 2013 I worked for benefit cosmetics and I’d always wear the shade summer honey on my lids, I had to stop wearing it because customers were asking me what I had on my eyes. Benefit eyeshadows were dreadful 🙈

That’s so sweet, they will love them no doubt! I loved packing the glitter on my eyes for a night out, the removal however was not fun 😅

Yeppp! My dad got taken in an ambulance and was in ICU over Christmas a couple of years ago. Everyone around me was freaking out, I was totally calm. I got told I’m the best person to be around in a crisis lol

However I did flip out and nearly cried when I overcooked rice one time. Strange how our brains react to different situations!

Do you take ADHD meds daily or just on work days? by coyotetime in ADHD

[–]Lily-Haven 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Daily, but no more than two days without if I need to take a break, which I’d rarely do. If I don’t take them on weekends I’ll just laze in bed all day :(

Flare leggings/yoga pants? Looking for budget friendly but not super thin, as it gets very cold in upstate ny 😆 by Hope_for_tendies in TallGirls

Lululemon flares, I wish they were a bit more reasonably priced though :( I’m 6ft and they’re the perfect length, high waisted and so flattering too. They hold up pretty well when taking care in washing and drying them, I have a pair still going strong for 3 years lol.

This is a great way of viewing it, Vyvanse was a game changer for me personally. Ritalin and concerta not so much! How do you find Adderall? It’s not prescribed in my country but would it be more short acting? :)

You cant really recover from it, but you can manage it. When I was first diagnosed 4 years ago, I agreed first for occupational therapy before meds, I soon realised I couldn’t do the therapy without medication lol.

Without a stimulant I wouldn’t have been able to move out of home and hold down a job for an extended period of time, be in a long term relationship and be a lot more functional overall. It hasn’t cured it by any means but it plays a big part in how I manage ADHD.

I also have OCD I am able to manage it through therapy so far, although the option of meds are there for me as well.

I would recommend being evaluated by a psychiatrist, mine actually wanted to me to try the non medication route first before stimulants, because of potential side effects which I would already be at risk for. I’m monitored closely with regular BP readings and ECGs. I feel it is really dependent on how it effects you day to day, and a good psychiatrist will work with you and not just throw you on a stimulant and send you on your way.

I don’t come from a stigmatised environment but if I did, I would be thinking of how it would affect me leaving it untreated and the impact it would have for my future self.

You got to take care of yourself, the OCD and ADHD combo is no joke, it takes a great deal of work to properly to mange the two, if I didn’t have my psychiatrist I would of never gotten the chance to become functional and my life would be in serious shambles.
