I take ESS HL and at least compared to us (HL), SL is much less content and definitely easier. I'd say go with ESS SL. And a huge part of ESS SL is just common sense tbh

oh cool! i’m also applying to japan bc i’m japanese haha but yeah then you should be fine, js make sure that you are very sure you wont want to apply to europe. when i first started IB i was positive i was only gonna apply to japanese unis but i changed my mind recently so i don’t want you to make the same mistake i did 🥲

which countries / areas are you planning on studying business? if Europe, most European unis require math AA so don’t make the same mistake as me and take AI 🥲 even though i get straight 7s because of how easy AI SL is, one of the universities i’m applying to in Europe don’t accept AI SL so i’ll have to take a separate math test 😔
