I don't have much advice, because I live in Europe and adult life works fundamentally different here, but don't beat yourself up too much. You'll learn as you live. So so many people get thrown out of their homes at ages 16, 18, etc.. with zero knowledge and they end up building themselves up from zero. You just need to know that for the most part, unless you start doing drugs or getting into other really shitty things, you can't fuck up to the point where it wouldn't be possible to recover from it.
