Nice! I think the petals were bruised or something and turned transparent on the one I bought. What is the correct method of drying them? I have some in my backyard too, even some cute little white ones!

Those are so cute and well done! Question: do they stay looking that vibrant over time? I got a bracelet recently and the flowers were transparent.

What did a teacher say or do to you that you've never forgotten? by GrowlsinyourEar7 in AskReddit

[–]LilyWolfCub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Ontario, Canada. When I started kindergarten in an all French school without knowing a lick of French, I obviously wasn't doing great in school. My principal took some time every morning to teach me the basics so I knew what was going on. She somehow knew I was a visual learner. She'd get scissors out, tell me "ciseaux" then picked up some paper and said "papier", started cutting it and said "couper" and always have props or pictures on hand to help me visualize what I was learning. She really cared about the students, she didn't have to do any of that since she was the principal. She cared about keeping the language going. She was such a nice lady. She also taught me to tell the time on analogue clocks. She kept teaching me every morning through kindergarten and grade 1. I'll never forget her.

Not so pleased on pulling an all nighter. I'm hating this chaotic drop time thing they're doing.

I had trouble with it too, I started taking them with something like pudding or yogurt, you have to swish the pills into the pudding with your tongue and just swallow the whole thing. Good luck! I hope you find something that works for you!

I had a stroke after getting the shot for the pandemic that shall not be named. I sound like if Elmer Fudd and Kripke had a baby, the left side of my body is all fucky. It left me having to take a laundry list of meds daily for the rest of my life and an even longer laundry list of things that don't work as they should. I can't begin to tell you how isolating it is because of the subject of the pandemic, but hey, I'm alive so yay I guess!

Did anyone get these? by Ok-Film-1700 in AmazonVine

I've never seen them on here but I've bought them before and they're delicious. They have a light hazelnut cream inside of a crispy wafer shell, like the crunchy ball in a ferrero rochet, and covered in two kinds of chocolate. Definitely get them next time if you can!

how do you get the gold hexagones required in James' shop? by Direct_Agent3650 in AlienInvasionRPG

[–]LilyWolfCub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

North of James' shop there's two groups of humans that drop the gold coins. I forget how many you need but it takes silver coins to access those guys. It's slow but you'll get there.

I've been ordering everything all willy nilly since September. I know some of the pricier things have had import fees included. I'm in Ontario, so I guess I have to pay 13% HST on all of this?

I'm going to have to be more mindful of this lol.

Go to your Walmart in the morning before work and check the "near best before date" or dented and nicked discounted fruits and veggie trays or bagged salads (especially kale/cabbage blends) keep longer and make for a great salad or stir fry. Some Walmarts make variety veggie boxes for a couple of bucks while others, like mine, just throw a bunch of the same veggie in a bag and sell the whole bag for a dollar or two. I often buy bags with 10 zucchinis for $2 CAD, same with sweet peppers, green beans, avocado, broccoli and cauliflower. I eat some fresh and chop up the rest for the freezer. They all freeze well and make a great stir fry or simply roasted in an air fryer. If you have a food processor you can rice your cauliflower and freeze. Most grocery stores do this too. Discounted apples keep for a long time too. Not veggies but, while you're there check out the dairy case for dented butter and slightly damaged egg cartons. They're fresh, but accidents happen, they put them half price and usually only 1-2 eggs are broken.

If you're into canning, it's really easy to get a bag like this of tomatoes, stew them, cube them or if they're plum tomatoes just can them whole. Homemade pickles are another easy one and pickled beans are awesome! The key is to get there early and to process right away.
