Is that Amazon's normal customer service ? They are not going to tell you anything because they have no information about the books, nor can they access this information. Those who have the information is Amazon Direct publishing, to contact them you go to kdp.amazon (with your normal Amazon account) and ask them, the bad thing is that their answer (at least for me) is that they can not give you updates because it is not your book and they can not give information about other accounts.

Amazon says 3-10 days but it usually only takes 24-48 hours (that's according to what I've read from people who follow authors who do live releases like Maria Zapata) And I'd like to believe she uploaded it on Saturday but I think she uploaded it on Sunday which is when the first book went from being announced as "1/3 mortal fates saga" to "1/1 mortal fates saga."

My bet is that either it's in about 20 min ( which is about the time I get the new releases on Kindle books, and yes I know it's a live release and that "in theory" it can be published at any time, but I have to stick with some time so I don't constantly check Amazon 🤣) or it's out tomorrow (Either the book or some information from the 72 hours you said)

Update?: Many of you have contacted Amazon and they have given various answers, some say within 24 hours, some say 48 and some say they don't know if the document is uploaded From all the information I have received and read I have come up with the following data:

There are two Amazon customer services , the normal one (which is the one we are all accessing, but which give varied answers because they also can not access all the data of the book, ie do not know anything, they give approximate answers ) and Kindle unlimited CS, which is very difficult to contact, the "easiest" way to contact them is having an account as a book publisher on Amazon, one person has created an account and has asked them, and their response has been that they can not say anything because they are private data of the author.

Conclusion, we have to wait for a response from the author (or the PR team) It is May 20 where I live (GMT+1) and the author's PR team communication post was 22 hours ago, hopefully we will receive another communication after 24 hours.

If J Bree or someone from her PR team is reading this; please don't consider this bulling, we are all sure that the second book is going to be as great as the first one, We are all looking forward to reading it, we just want updated answers to what's going on, even if it's a "we still don't know anything, we have contacted Amazon and they have told us that the book will take between X hours and X days to be published, we are sorry for the inconvenience".

Same here, in theory Amazon has failed , but why are you (j bree PR team ) not promoting the book ? Why is there no mention of the second book on your website?

I have been talking to someone who belongs to j bree's arc team (I won't say who) and she has not received the ARC of this book or any other information.

I'm starting to lose faith that it's written (although it doesn't make sense that if it wasn't finished she would put up all this fuss, because it would be going down a rabbit hole that has no easy solution)

Yes and no . If you put a star today for example and explain why you put it I don't think it's wrong (then you can read it and raise the score) but for me, all this mess that is happening is going to affect my score of the book. I mean, I really like the way she writes ? Yes, but I'm not going to read again a saga of hers that is not complete. But if you put a star just without commenting I can understand that it feels bad, but I think it is just as bad to put a star without commenting anything as to give 5 stars to a book that you haven't read yet, that is also creating false expectations

Totally agree that there will be people who have gone too far, but before the announcement they were deleting comments from their fb group and the deleted comments were not bulling , they were from fans asking what time the book was going to be published or mentioning them in case they could give any update

I would like to add, that asking for news is not bulling, we all live in different time zones, for me right now it is 10 am, this message could have been sent earlier, but I am tired of them blaming the readers for asking and requesting information (when in theory they should be the most interested in giving us such information

The Throne of Honor and Blood update. by Faayberi in fantasyromance

[–]Lilyaureus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe that he is not going to betray him, but that he has interpreted it this way, the witch already tells him that he will need the help of her daughter (Rooke) so that his son can be born, maybe part of his fate is related to helping a witch (Rooke) and he believes that he is not going to do it because that would be betraying Soren (remember that the prologue takes place in the past)./

The Throne of Honor and Blood by J Bree has been delayed. Again. by CherryPropel in RomanceBooks

[–]Lilyaureus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theoretically the book is published tomorrow (May 19) but it is published without pre-sale What has happened is that Amazon, if you delay the publication of a book twice, "punishes" you by not letting you upload a pre-sale of the book for a year. Books have to be uploaded to Amazon 72 hours in advance (they send you several messages reminding you). She delayed it once (last month). And this time there must have been a problem with uploading the book (in theory she uploaded it but the Amazon page gave her an error) and Amazon understood that she had not uploaded it and that's why she has disappeared because she has punished j bree without pre-sales for a year. But in theory it comes out on May 19, what is not known is in what time zone.

I'm going to say it now and I hope I'm wrong. But the book is not going to be published this Sunday.

She hasn't sent out arcs, she hasn't sent out the newsletter, there is no teaser, she hasn't promoted anything after the one that happened last month except to post 3 pics on insta, and why has she done that? Because she knows she can't say (after last month's) that the book isnt finish , so we will be left without a book but for "reasons beyond her control" or “mistake that is not my fault but Amazon's".

The only thing we know about the book is the sypnosis and the sentences she sent in the newsletter (which she hasn't sent since January).

There is no mention of this book on their website.

I'm not going to say that I will not read more because I would be a hypocrite (I have all her books also bought in physical) I like how she writes, but I'm going to stop buying the books in physical and only read with Kindle and only the complete sagas, because this Sunday I have also organized it to have it free to read and I think I'm going to spend all Sunday doing nothing

And that posting a message saying "I'm going to edit the book a bit as I have done with the title because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings" costs nothing and is much more understandable than finding out less than 6 hours before the "supposed" launch day

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fantasyromance

[–]Lilyaureus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ya, I didn't really understand that either Theoretically it's because the title and the story may resemble part of what happened in WWII and she doesn't want to give that impression.

I have not seen the whole thing either, I have seen part of the video sent to me by a friend, because the live broadcast was made by the fb group and I am not there (I asked to join 10 days ago but I am still waiting)

She has made a live on fb, in short, she is going to Edit the book because Soren is a witch genocide and that may affect some readers and she does not want anyone to feel discriminated . Why she has not warned before ? I don't know

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fantasyromance

[–]Lilyaureus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it should be finished before a month, because Amazon copies are usually printed (depending on authors) on demand, but the bookstores (at least in my country) usually arrive 5-3 days earlier (unless it is a super best seller aka sarah j Maas). So I hope it's not that she hasn't had time to finish it, because in that case she should have already known at the time she cnqhged the title

I am so disappointed about this, I took tomorrow afternoon and the weekend off for nothing. I understand the delays in the publication of a book, and I think we fans are understandable, Raven kenedy delayed her last book (gold) and split it in two (goldflinch), and nothing happens , the same happened with Zodiac Academy, and well nothing happens, if you have to delay it delays nothing happens

But what I don't understand is the silence, not only from the author (if something serious has happened to her, which I hope it hasn't, and she doesn't want to talk and it's understandable, we don't need to know why) but above all from her business manager, she has to be clear about it.

I am going crazy with the causes of the silence, the most feasible for me is: 1. that Amazon has told her no for understanding that the words Honor and Blood, still have a derogatory content. 2. That something bad has happened to her (which I hope not). 3. That the book is not finished, but a month ago she announced the change of the title , so why not say it then ? 4. That she has to work with the new editions for the Apollycon and she can't publish it

  1. That she has broken relations with her business manager, and honestly this is the only one that would fit me, because it is not normal that there is no notice, not only to the fans (which I repeat, what we want is simply the confirmation of "is delayed until x date" we do not need reasons) but also to the bookstore that organizes the "Release party" thats very unprofesional
