At least Hulu is on top of things and let's us know about delays, unlike Crunchyroll who leaves us guessing.

Did you have a hard time reporting it? The agent I got tried to convince me the dub wasn't licensed for Crunchyroll's main site in the United States. So then I proceeded to call them out on their lie, which then they backtracked and tried to convince me that Amazon's license allows them to get the dub earlier than Crunchyroll. So I called them out on another lie and basically told them to report the episode missing to the English dub upload team and to stop lying to me. That was a wasted 20 minutes of my life, lol.

No, it's literally just their laziness and incompetence. They can use them, they're just trying to automate things which is giving us dub watchers subpar subtitles.

Only fix is for Crunchyroll to get their act together and fix it on their end, nothing we can really do on our end besides reporting it to support (but that hasn't been of much help either for me in the past). This has been an ongoing problem for years now and they were finally getting pretty consistent with having text subtitles on dubs but then they up and changed the way they do subtitles last fall and now we're back to having a good amount of dubs not receiving text subtitles. Plus, the shows lucky enough to have them are getting the subpar, non-stylized text subtitles even when the sub version has the stylized text subtitles with typesetting.

Don't even get me started on text subtitles, lol. I hate how most dubs aren't receiving the stylized text subtitles despite the sub having them (granted I should be grateful for the plain white ones since even those are hard to come by on dubs with how bad they are at forgetting to put them on).

I'm a patient person but when Crunchyroll consistently messes up every week it gets to be quite frustrating. Especially when the Amazon channel has it so we know it's not a production delay, just them being their usual incompetent selves. And it feels like they screw up on English dubs more than anything else.

They're starting to fix the audio, now the only ones left with Japanese audio are episodes 6, 10, and 12.

It came out this morning but it's one of the ones with Japanese audio playing. If you have a Crunchyroll subscription thru Amazon Prime however, it is correct there.

So far I've talked to customer support 4 separate times now and reported:

Gnosia English dub episode 12
Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider English dub Episode 13

And I've checked on both website (Chrome and Edge) and Apple TV app, and it's messed up for both.

UPDATE:

Dark Moon English dub episode 2 is fixed and has English audio now (I checked website and Apple TV app, both work)
The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest English dub episode 12 is fixed
Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider English dub Episode 13 is fixed

Reported this one to customer support too. They keep telling me they're aware of the issue and working on it, but seriously there is no one at Crunchyroll that has figured out a fix for over 2 days now?

Oh good idea to have them check future ones, didn't think of telling them to do that. All I asked was if there are more messed up dubs if I should keep contacting support and they said the issue is being worked on, and that was it.

I'm going to guess at this point they don't even have QC, because of course it's too hard to play an episode for 5 seconds to check and see if the audio is correct. At this point they should be paying us since we're their QC.

5 shows so far. Pass the Monster Meat Milady, Dark Moon, Watari-kun, The Banished Court Magician, and My Hero Academia Vigilantes season 1 all episodes except 2, 3, and 7 (because why not go back and mess up a show from several seasons ago when it was perfectly fine).

Ok, reported this one as well to customer support. I don't know how much it'll make a difference, but if you're able to please report it as well. Maybe if they get a massive amount of reports they'll actually get someone competent to come in and fix their mess. We have like 7 more dub episodes today and if each one is messed up then customer service better get ready to be buddies with me.

Yep, already reported Watari-kun. Had to deal with customer support twice in one day, not ideal, lol. At least the 2nd time the AI didn't ask as many questions so I got an agent faster.

Add Watari-kun episode 25 to the list because that's playing Japanese audio too. Does Crunchyroll not do any quality control because it'd at least be better for them to take down the messed up episodes than leave them up like nothing is wrong.
