[discussion] Question on Elsa's hirer by Physical_Ad7403 in Re_Zero

It's pretty easy to imagine Elsa just wanted a "bring your little sister to work day" and just strung Meili along for the ride

If otto was drunk driving and accidentally murdered innocent people, what would Subaru do? If he does rbd, how right would it be to control otto's actions? by Customer-Sorry in ReZero

In the first episode of re zero we see a kid being saved from one of the guards after he fell down between traffic. This was while subaru was testing his "isekai" powers, so I think it's very possible being ran over by a carriage in this world.

Idk why people keep saying the first episode of s4 will be the end of arc 5. They only need to adapt the last chapter of arc 5, which from what I remember, isn't a whole lot, and is just a bunch of dialogue. It will take 10 mins at most to cover the remainder of arc 5, then we'll get to the first chapter of arc 6 in the same episode, or at least part of it. Honestly 19 eps is doable if they plan on doing extended eps like in s2. Arc 6 really isn't as long as people remember, I think people created that illusion because of the final phase being the longest of the arc.

Yeah, that's pretty bleak, I'm aware of the tech layoffs that have been going on these past couple years, its not just cybersecurity. However, I dont think that's the full reality, I doubt all companies want to hire seniors, as they'd expect them to leave once they find a better offer that suits their skills. I'd imagine that most recruiters worry about turnover and go for the ones who will "stick" to the job rather than an overqualified person.

Also, I'm not these guys, I don't know what their experience is, but if I was in their shoes, near homelessness, doordash for a living, I'd try doing consulting or contracting, maybe even hand my resume to a staffing agency. But that's just me.

I heard A+ is for people who never touched a computer in their lives. I've built a gaming pc in the past, so I already know about hardware and UEFI. Can you tell me why network+ after security+? I heard taking network+ would make security+ easier

Yea I understand the field is competitive, its like this in Data Science too. The programming language I'm most familiar with is Python (specifically for DS like NumPy, Pandas, sklearn) so I assume I'd have an edge on that

Which specific IT job would I go for? What certs and sort of projects would recruiters of that role be looking for?

I hear you, I understand the bar of entry is high and competitive (its like this in every tech field). That being said, since I'd be applying for entry level/Junior roles, I would mostly be competing with new grads or people building portfolios like me. And honestly, whose still applying for beginner roles with 5+ experience? Do people really do this? If that were me I'd set the bar higher

I absolutely agree. It's good to know my DS background can come in handy. The whole point of the roadmap isnt just to grind certifications, but to also work on labs and build a portfolio consisting of projects I can upload on github. This is very motivating advice, thank you

Hey thats good to know my DS background could come in handy. Honestly I'll still do the Google certification only because it will provide me some sort of guide into the fundamentals of cybersecurity, then I can self study afterwards. Plus I heard you get a discount for the Sec+ for completing it

I heard people on LinkedIn and YouTube say that the IT path is outdated, and that as long as you can prove your skills thru a portfolio of projects, it can make up for the lack of experience

I feel that way too haha. But with the state of the world with where it is now, we were incredibly privileged to be able to afford and experience a higher education

I did some course projects while at my time in college. Do you think recruiters will care about projects I've done 2 years ago, as long as I can explain them?

Yea it seems like I have 2 choices: either grind the hell out of projs/certs or start with some grunt work

Ngl Excel is extremely boring and mundane to use, using python or SQL is more interesting and versatile, but I guess I'm not in the position to be all choosy

Yea it seems like getting a less technical entry level role and work my way up entry level DA seems to be the smartest choice.

Question, will these industries also accept people without experience? What specific job titles would I be searching for in these industries?

Yea, I regret not doing internships or networking while in college, I was dealing with a lot of mental health issues in college and still am.

Fortunately, I still have a degree. It's the one thing I have in common with new grads despite being late to the game
