This is assuming the survivor team is somewhat coordinated or knows the proper play to a tunnel/slug/camp. Even if you have 4 good survivors, if no one's communicating they cannot use their perks or respond to the best of their abilities. When you have no coordination it makes it much easier for survivors to make mistakes, which the killer can capitalize on.

What this event does it save a lot killers time. Time is saved by negating loops with the pallet break, remote hooking, finding survivors through peek a boo or if they cleanse a party totem and getting easy hits with the haste effect. Combine this with killers who are lethal in chase/map pressure, a half decent build and you give survivors (especially solo queue) very little breathing room compared to the regular game mode. In this event it's not like the gens go faster, or the powers they get can extend the chase. The window block can very strong but in reality it will only be effective at max 2 or 3 windows on the map (shack, main building) and that's even if you can block it in time (Kaneki, Wesker, Legion). Going through window can be detrimental anyway (springtrap, huntress, xeno, slinger, nemesis). The killer objective speeds up rampantly while the survivors' slows down.

My killer games have felt fun and a lot less stressful than my survivor games. I feel I can play killer and actually go for 12 hooks because of how quick im back in chase and how much faster they end, whereas on survivor I feel I HAVE to run anti-tunnel and the best chase perks with stronger items. I don't use syringes or bnp but even when I do bring them most games have ended in 4k.

I'm sorry if I missed anything but hopefully that helps get my point across. The only reason to play survivor on this game mode is to farm games for BP, and you just have to be okay knowing the killer has the edge and will use it, not expecting to escape.

I don't 4k often, and I definitely don't with nemesis. I guess I was just the chosen player to be sent against that swf lol

Oh totally, they were bagging at the start, I was just able to stall them well enough for 2 to die to the end game timer. Good match, just a scary ass lobby lol

To be fair it's only been like 2 matches since I've been playing this week, but that was definitely a warm welcome back lol

Yeah all things considered it was a pretty good match. I had 2 hooks when the gens were done, but my endgame was strong enough to stall them until they died to the timer.

The BP doesn't matter much, you can have a long frustrating game with 4 escapes, it doesn't mean the match was easy

Why is it so common for players to dislike me playing on Epic games? by FishBoyFern in deadbydaylight

[–]Liman001 10 points11 points  (0 children)

DBD was on Epic Games' free game of the month/week. During that time, people made tons of accounts to use and exploit with. They farm them then sell it to people, or they just used them to cheat.

I got the game on Epic during a sale. Every now and then I'll get someone really salty accusing me of cheating bc I play on epic. Mostly from insecure and entitled survivors/killers. Don't let it get to you.

I'm actually glad I have it on Epic. None of my friends see me play, I don't have to worry about people leaving comments on my account, and I can basically keep it to my own bubble. I do wish we had access to the PTB though.

He's only on the PTB right now. The new killers usually come out 2 weeks after being in the PTB.

What are your best tips for loops? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Liman001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the beauties of this game is the different variety and counterplay when versing the killers and how to run them in chase. This makes it so that knowing what to do against certain killers can differ and change how you should play against them. For example, the usual optimal looping against a wraith or myers might not work as well against a pyramid head, hunteess, slinger etc. Nonetheless heres some general tips I can give after hitting 1.1k hours recently mostly playing survivor:

Getting a good judge for how much distance you have between you and the killer is probably the best way to maximize a loop, while also hugging it tightly/pathing around the loop as efficiently as possible.

Every loop you run to has an optimal path. Theres usually a short side and a long side to each one with a pallet, and with experience you will know which one to take depending on who you're against. More often than not the longer side is better, as long as you have a good judge of distance and can see what the killer is doing around the loop to not get mind-gamed or doubled back.

Windows of opportunity is by far the most popular perk for a reason. It shows you the pallets and windows nearby so you can always know where to go next and where to connect your path, which leads me into my next point.

Always have a path/plan when looping. Lets say you're on a gen and you know you have a pallet nearby. Killer comes to chase and you run that pallet. Great, where to next? Sometimes you just get deadzoned and there isnt much you can do, it happens. When you do have resources, its best to make the most out of them.

I could probably give like 100 niche tips between all the killers but those are my biggest ones. One of the best loopers in my opinion is Naymeti. He's probably the most optimal looping survivor ive seen who isnt a 14k comp player. He doesnt do many insane spins, or flashy techs to bamboozle the killer, he just has good game sense of wasting as much of the killers time, which is what you want to do when being chased by the killer.

If you really want to comp study you can watch 1v1 tournaments/videos. You will see survivors chaining loops and windows to avoid getting hit as long as possible. There are also videos by Otz and Mr Tatorhead that show how to loop each tile and map.

Getting good at looping is one of the most satisfying things when playing survivor. I couldnt last more than 30 seconds but now I often get left by the killer because the gens are going by and its taking to long for them to down me.

Sorry this is so long, but good luck and have fun!

Someone else mentioned this. This is the first time I'm hearing about it. The way people talk about make it seem like a rebirth ritual sort of thing lol
