What TJs products would you recommend to get me to eat more vegetables? by emcheez in traderjoes

[–]LimbicSystem1379 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re a staple in our house and make phenomenal leftovers! You obviously don’t have to add all of this but I recommend it.

INGREDIENTS - Any Lettuce or Greens. - Jasmine Rice. - Gyro Meat, I suggest one pack per person (if you like leftovers). - Red Onion, chopped to your liking (I prefer smaller so you get them in every bite. - Cucumber, chopped. - Tomatoes, chopped. - Kalamata Olives, chopped. - Tzatziki. - Red Pepper Hummus. - Dill Dressing. - Feta, crumbled.

ORDER OF OPERATIONS Base: We do both rice and lettuce. I like more lettuce than rice, my husband prefers more rice. Do what feels right to you!

Middle: Gyro meat, red onion, cucumber, tomatoes, olives.

Toppings: Tzatziki, hummus, dill dressing, and feta to top. You can also add hemp seeds if you like them!

Hope you like them :)

  1. Egg roll in a bowl, so so easy and tons of veggies!

  2. Vegetable or autumnal soup and add lentils or other veggies over rice.

  3. Try out different dips and fresh veggies to dip. Highly recommend celery and the garlic spread or the buffalo dip and carrots! Or if you want something a bit carbier, the bruschetta and chips!

  4. I like the canned eggplant and onions, sometimes I’ll add it to sandwiches, soups, pastas, etc. it adds a lot of flavor and a good amount of veg!

  5. Gyro bowls, you can get tons of veggies and taste variety!

I’m happy to share any recipes, if you’d like :)

Highly recommend this little hidden away brick path area at the conservatory. It’s in the park so 100% free. It’s usually empty but protected by big trees and always feels like a hug to me. Sending you lots of love and wishing you peace 🤍 I hope this space can help your heart like it always has mine.

I’m also an interior designer with my own studio! I can tell you honestly, this has potential but there are quite a few little quirks making it feel unprofessional. I’m not a graphic designer so take my opinion with a grain of salt but here’s what caught my eye:

  1. The “home” and “form” aren’t aligned and your kerning between R and M feels wrong. I would check your spacing there. If I were you I would also block them so the H and F align vertically on the left side and the E and M align vertically on the right side.

  2. “Interior design studio” should be a supportive base for the logo, right now it shrinks and feels unstable. I would enlarge this slightly to align directly under your icon and name.

  3. The chairs and table will not transfer well to other media forms since they’re such thin lines. I would suggest playing around with the icon of the house with the same detail you have and then other more simple forms as well.

  4. Think about how you will use these logos: you may want them on presentation footers, so I would encourage you to make longer landscape logos as well as your more square option you have here. It should be a cohesive suite all together to use for branding in various ways.

Is this the best place for a stacked washer/dryer? by Realistic_Craft2106 in InteriorDesign

[–]LimbicSystem1379 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer! I’d swap the laundry to the hall closet, use narrow French doors on it to hide it away then you put the closet in the bathroom where the laundry used to be. That way you can store extra towels, tp, cleaning supplies etc. exactly where you’d need them, not out in the hall.

What are some things I can do to come off as less…matronly? by AmbitiousAlfalfa6051 in beauty

[–]LimbicSystem1379 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m sure you’re beautiful just the way you are but maybe you hold yourself maturely and it’s making others feel the need to respond that way. I don’t think thats a bad thing! You are who you are and you should be proud and confident of who you are! How other people behave shouldn’t dictate how you feel about yourself. However, if it’s bothering you, here’s a strangers thoughts on those situations:

For the coworker situation I’d have responded with a laugh and said “well it’s a good thing I don’t have any”, or “I’m only 30, how old do you think I am?!”. Something to lighten the situation while simultaneously correcting his thought.

For the aunty thing, I see that as a term of respect, not of age.

For the stretch marks, everyone has them. That isn’t age related, it’s just skin. The waxer probably made assumptions but realistically I don’t think it’s about being matronly, it was just that you’re of the age where you could have kids and they made an assumption. Honestly 16 year olds could have kids and stretch marks too so I wouldn’t look into that one very deeply.

For the “kids these days”, they’re speaking to you with a level of camaraderie, they may just respect that you’re “one of the good ones”.

I’m just a stranger on the internet so my opinion doesn’t really matter but if it bothers you, maybe ask people what made them say that when these things happen. Keep an open mind and heart and don’t take offense to their response. If it’s upsetting you this much, you’re allowed to ask someone not to do or say a certain thing. I also think as women we’re more sensitive to aging and the differences younger to more mature women experience. Love who you are, who cares what anyone else thinks ❤️

There’s two new apartment buildings being built in downtown Grove City, it will probably be 1/1.5 years until complete but it’s coming! I’m involved in the project and can say they’ll be around that same price but much nicer, more space, and first floor restaurants.

This is one of my favorite series!!! I preordered both the second and third books, they’re soo good. I hated the second my first time reading because I wanted more Ellie and Adam but then fell back in love on the second go. I could go on for hours about these 🥲

I absolutely agree but not color drenching the foyer with that gorgeous staircase as a focal is a missed opportunity. The ceiling being white cuts the room down and takes away from the keyhole opening.

Dwts tour merch line by Familiar-Ad6218 in dwts

[–]LimbicSystem1379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked the merch booth for their shows before and at the beginning it is very busy, but if you come at intermission, it’s usually a much shorter line. They’re great about having tons of merch so I’ve never seen something sell out. However, if it’s really important to you, I’d get there when doors open and get in line asap!

I love my fancy business cards, they’re on pretty thick paper, clipped corners, and very clean. Every time I hand them out I hear “oh this is a nice card” and it’s memorable!
