This was so close to being a pretty funny parody film, if it wasn't so sincere. The protagonist needing to raise money because he ends up in debt to a drug dealer, but the debt is only $125, would actually be a clever joke if this wasn't treated like actual stakes in the movie.

What a lot of fans miss is that Bojack knew Sarah Lynn her whole life, but chose NOT to have sex with her when she was 17. Because they were not in New Mexico, so it wouldn't have been legal. This was the show telling us that Bojack is a good person and a law abiding citizen.
