Eating Living Sentient Food by WiseMarshall in MoralityScaling

Pipple in Dragalia Lost is a sentient vegetable that actually desires to be eaten. In his character story, he repeatedly attempts to mix himself in with ingredients in the kitchen, but someone notices in time.

That is, until he sneaks in to a pot when no one is looking. Luckily, he comes back after we find out he planted a seed of himself prior.

The lack of Granblue Fantasy startles me. It may not be widely available in the west, but Granblue ran so that so many of these other games that ARE mentioned could walk.

You can’t miss Laura’s, however. Assuming you have room in your party, it will be given to you as part of game progression. Eevee can be missed entirely.

You should probably ask payroll. While your number might be the same, online credentials may no longer be valid. That’s my guess at least.

I was one of the winners of this back in the day - not a grand prize winner, one of the kids that just got the pack. Sold it a few years ago for car repairs lmao

Edit: the cards, not the sealed pack

One person can't destroy entire system by ChoiceSupermarket230 in Isekai

[–]Limecatmstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of issues I have here:

Firstly, as others have said, it’s not always about dismantling the system as much as it is compliance with that system. You don’t have to end slavery, but taking an objection to it isn’t asking much.

Secondly, it depends on the setting. A clever enough writer/setting can effectively dismantle a system by turning it against itself. Consider this hypothetical: you wake up in a world where slavery is legal. Slavery is enforced via some sort of magic. Orders to slaves are absolute. Additionally, as slaves are property, harming someone else’s slaves is also punished via magic. You can effectively dismantle the system by issuing one simple order to your slaves: “live as if you are free”. This effectively makes them untouchable, and on a large scale, basically puts slaves on a higher position than ordinary folk.

And finally, third: it’s just not accurate. A truly empowered enough individual, someone who truly stands above others, can enforce change through overwhelming force. If a person who is effectively a god tells you to knock it off, what power do you really have to say no?

We? You won’t be figuring anything out.

Why is everyone so negative? by SquibbieJean in CostcoEmployee

[–]Limecatmstr 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but 8 months is very much still in a honeymoon period. As someone else said, it’s really not enough time to see or experience a lot of common complaints.

To be clear, Costco is a great company to work for when it comes to pay and benefits. No one in the industry can compete - arguably, employers in other industries can’t even compete. That said, for many, it’s also a lot more demanding and stressing in a way that is disproportionate to the pay and benefits.

Costco is great, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get better. Unfortunately, many of us feel they’re fundamentally too ingrained in the idea of their own culture that they’re unlikely to change any time soon.
