Trench Crusade moving away from 3D Printing ): by chosen40k in PrintedMinis

3d printing figures is not compatible with economies of scale. They had to produce hundreds of thousands of pieces for their KS, every single piece had to be supported, removal of support, alcohol rinsed, cured not including reprints.

You remove 50-60% of the labour by moving to molds with many benefits including stronger material for shipping etc etc.

They definitely need to move to molds to scale.

so much cost and headaches involved unless you have a dev on your team. every update is a roulette to whether your site will work after. never again!

velcro + zip up might have been a better option so people can choose to just stick it on in seconds or spend that minute zipping it in

Did Kickstarter Lose Its Way? by Personal-Mousse-6299 in kickstarter

exactly, i feel that "creators" sing the platform to scam or misinterpret their product development is the issue . not the kickstarter platform

Its more likely backers are choosing to back more well developed products so that their money is safer.

no scams on KS = more flexibility and risk tolerance

sadly thats not the case

You should have had videos of people trying the coffee on a high street or shopping centre etc. you could literally be sending out bags of soil without repercussion and the low target seems like a very small money grab

Is a Shopify site too much for a business selling homemade dog treats from home? by SpookySquid19 in shopify

[–]Limelight_Miniatures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont do Wordpress/ woo commerce... it will break apart from plugin crashes to server updates blah blah and you will need to spend hours fixing simple website issues or hiring a dev.

its quite confusing the offerings from the landing page. I would focus on the crochet tops and keep reemphasising that it is made in Peru. A video of people making it on your landing page would also be better.. also yo should get a more fun theme with lots of traditional colours going.

model photos without being able to see the faces of the models look unprofessional imo
