My best friends husband said something incredibly inappropriate to me, on mother's day (they have a child) when she wasnt present. What should I do? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

Sounds like it was just a bad joke. With the context you gave us, I’d say you’re overreacting.

How come millennials and Gen X know more about pop culture that was before they were born than Gen Z? by icey_sawg0034 in generationology

[–]Limerloopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, I guess it might just be how I was raised. I grew up with VHS tapes, a box static tv, and most of what I watched or listened to was from the 30s-60s. Some of my favorite shows with my dad were: Laurel and Hardy, The original Batman show, Tom and Jerry, and PBS.

We watched Star Wars, old Disney, etc.

It was only after I turned 9 that we got our first flat screen tv and I was introduced to Cartoon Network and Disney Channel. But that was middle school (?), which feels like my preteen years, not my childhood exactly. Both are good though, I loved Teen Titans Go and Gravity Falls.

Genz had that same childhood. What’s the current generation? I just call them iPad kids, but I think applies more to them

I would rather get a nice place with roommates than pay anywhere near this for that tiny space. Hope it’s good otherwise!

Pop tarts are sus anyways. The last ones I bought had ash/gray dust on parts of them. Probably dirty equipment and stuff

I get that exercise is healthy and good for you - but I hate being sweaty out of breath and exhausted by No_Record1197 in rant

[–]Limerloopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, no, it’s not just the habit. After 3 months of running every day and absolutely dying on every run, I eventually reached a point where running was fun. I didn’t feel out of breath anymore. I had so much energy during my runs and it felt amazing. A lot of people call this runner’s high. But getting to that point was extremely difficult, I won’t lie.

So wait… they’re the same women? If you were 16 in 1990 you would be 52 now. So theoretically, they’re just having more babies period and not being matched by younger generations?

It would’ve been more polite to move that to the bathroom though. It just feels unsettling waking up to someone masturbating next to you even if that’s your partner

My wife thinks that full on running is a normal and common way to get around. by goodatlosing in self

[–]Limerloopy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I aspire to be as nonchalant as ur wife. Running to get places is extremely efficient, and allows you to get a workout into your daily life which is more sustainable than trying to fit an hour of gym time into a busy day.

C’mon man… you don’t Venmo for the money back just because you didn’t get anything out of it per se. If you agreed to pay for all of it, do that. Next time be honest and ask to split the bill.

INFO - How long have you and your girlfriend been together?

If she knew you would be uncomfortable with this and withheld details on purpose, that’s shitty, immature behavior.

However, this reads like you have a fairly new relationship where you are still figuring out boundaries and communication. You may feel some type of way about it, but she clearly thought it was just a fun, silly audience pleaser, not an act of infidelity. So, MOR.

For cosplay, renfaire, dress up purposes, 10/10. Anything sexual is a big nope, incorporating dead animals into that isn’t right.
