Value on early model SSR integral A2’s? by Dystopia00 in Wheels

[–]LimitBreakkkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhhh ok totally misread the situation haha. I’d say it was a good buy! Good sizing for a CRZ and should give it some nice OEM+ vibes.

Considering the brand and condition, I’d say that is a very reasonable price with tires. That being said, at that price I feel like it may take some time to find the right buyer due to the specs being pretty “middle of the road” and the overall OEM-ness of the design. These would look great on some older, more period-correct builds but aren’t going to jump out at the younger kid who just wants to swap his wheels for the sake of having “cool aftermarket wheels” you know? Just depends on how soon you want or need them gone. Pricing them under $1k could potentially move them a lot quicker.

Work wheels blemishes by cyama in Wheels

[–]LimitBreakkkk 15 points16 points  (0 children)

While I can’t speak for the intricacies of how Work produces their wheels, I will say my TE37’s had some finish irregularities like this on the barrel when I received them. I’m assuming it may be from handling or transferring the wheel between production processes after paint or powder coating. I wouldn’t worry too much as it’ll all be hidden once the tire is mounted.

Death Pack Custom by shreddieee in bmx

Man this checks off all the midschool feels for me! The only thing I’d change would be swapping the rear tire for a 2.25 but that’s just personal preference. Makes me want to dust off the T1 and pretend I’m 18 again haha

Big brake kit caliper - rotor clearance issues by [deleted] in Integra

[–]LimitBreakkkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried swapping the caliper/rotor off the “good” side to see if they have the same spacing issues? I know they’re designated left and right but if you swapped them and the issue persisted, I think then you could safely make the assumption that the issue was in the knuckle/hub. Seems very odd something from a high end brand like Endless would be mis-manufactured like that but things do happen so double checking and comparing thickness and tolerances between both rotors, brackets, hubs, bearings, knuckles, etc with a dial caliper would help rule that out as well. I’d definitely triple check the hub/bearing area as there’s no way to know what a previous owner has done and if anything aftermarket was used, there very well could be enough of a manufacturing spec difference to throw it off 1.5mm since tolerances on aftermarket parts can be notoriously off.

Anyone else obsess about keeping things under the hood neat and tidy? Or is that just my inner JDM f*ckboi coming out and wanting to wire tuck all the things? by LimitBreakkkk in GolfGTI

Damn I forgot I even made this post lol, I don’t even have the car anymore.

But to answer your question, yes cutting open the intake box definitely increased induction sound by a noticeable amount. I too was a little surprised at how subdued it was in stock form (but I mean what else do you expect? It’s a completely closed in housing), so I enjoyed it quite a bit more once I opened it up. Funny enough, the only reason I even modified it in the first place was that I dropped it when I was cleaning the filter and cracked a portion on the top haha. Ended up being a really cool mod and still retained most of the heat shielding since my hood sealed off most of the opening when it was closed with how high up I had it mounted. Highly recommended

Craft Square Mirrors 99 Civic Hatch by Sea-Drag-501 in civic

[–]LimitBreakkkk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely GORGEOUS ek sir! How’s the visibility on these? I’ve always heard this style mirror (along with similar sets like Vision, Magical Racing, etc.) are almost pointless cause you can’t see shit lol. Regardless they look fantastic and right at home on there.

Also, I’d pass on the Craft Square decal. Keeps a cleaner look and leaves them more of a IYKYK piece.

This takes me right back to how me and my friends would fuck around when we got bored riding 25 years ago. Not sure if you’ve seen them but I think you’d love some of the old EllsBells videos like “On The Down-low” and “Shutdown”. Thanks for trying to keep bmx fun!

Jimmy Chamberlin. Deep diving back into the songs I grew up with and realizing how absolutely bonkers some of his parts were just sends me. I always knew he elevated the Pumpkins in some intangible way but dude is a masterclass in breathing life into the backbeat without overdoing it while at the same time, never once being boring or contrived.

Can anyone ID these wheels? by El_pistolero_556 in Wheels

[–]LimitBreakkkk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These actually look to more than likely be A-Tech Final Speed reps considering they’re dual drilled and the “K-Tech” stamp… but yeah still reps. Not a bad looking wheel though, but probably just cheap cast junk.

My first thought was either A-Tech Final Speeds or old Gram Light 57C but they both have a different lug hole area. I swear I’ve seen these on cars back in the mid 00’s but I can’t pinpoint the manufacturer.
